Thank you professor. I found your video looking for Weber's studies on India and China. This topic isn't usual, but very interesting. I teach sociology to Administration students in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Cheers;)

Good overview of the material! I am currently studying the BA religious studies in Leiden. I am working through Weber’s collected works on religion currently and this online lecture was really helpful in providing an overview. Early 20th century German sure is a challenge to read sometimes.

I read and teach in English translation, a real weakness, and am glad that someone is honing language skills.

Thank you for the lecture Prof. Though I am not a formal student of sociology, I have to take sociology for a government exam. I am not sure what an ideal sociology answer looks like, how the structuring works etc. Could you please guide me here?

I'm not sure what an ideal sociology answer would look like either! Perhaps the very best place to start is with either Freud's Totem and Taboo or one of Durkheim's books. These provide fundamental concepts to describe how the basic structure of society is created and recreated using imaginary supports, like totems, gods, spirits, etc.
