Thanks for the service you provide. How do I create a list with zero contacts and companies and then (for example) as I speak with clients or prospects add them to this newly created list, Say my birthday party is in November and I want to develop a list of people or companies that have expressed and interest in attending the party. As I go about my work week this list will go from zero interested people to several added to the list each week. How do I create this list as the weeks progress - adding interested people along the way?

Hi Vince this is a good use case for static lists. Basically you go to lists >> and create new list -- type is "static" which means the list has zero people until you add people to the list manually. To add folks to a static list, you can go to the contact record, go to "list memberships" on the right hand side and add them to a list that way. Keep in mind that static lists for contacts are just for contacts, and static lists for companies are just for companies - there is no mix and matching, but that shouldn't be an issue if you're wanting to add folks to a list that you've talked to (that would be contacts)!

I've created an active list and tried various parameters but doesn't seem to work. An example is - I want to create a list of companies I'm targeting around the topic of Social Value. I've used 'Call notes'; Meeting descriptions; meeting name; Notes; email body copy that reference Social Value etc... I know I have multiple Social Value' references in all these parameters, but the list says 0? Any help on this?

Hi Martin, sorry to hear you are having trouble with that. I take it you are using a "company" based list, but perhaps the activities you are thinking of are linked to the Contact record instead. Trying running a contact list and see if that helps!

what if I want to make a list with new contacts and some old ones that are already on my contact list. But I don't want to put a filter since they will only be used for a specific campaign.

I'm working on different projects with different companies on each project. Is there a way to make a list with a group of companies not based on any properties? And then get a view on all the different list under sales/task panel? It's for events. For each event there's different companies from different places with different revenues and so on. And I would like to get a overview over each event, but it seems hard to find in HubSpot. So I actually want to do the list manually. And I would like to get the companies in a list and then have that list under task. Thanks

If you are working on multiple events, then you may want to activate the Marketing Events Object in HubSpot. It allows you to create and manage events based on integrations with Zoom, Eventbrite, and other event management apps.
