Very good and very informative. I am guilty and have been waiting overnight to even glue up half rings! I have used your pull string and it works great, but I was depressed, until now, of how to fix joints that weren’t tight, other than half glueing them , then sanding both ends, like you mentioned. My question was;for example, say I had a 12 segment ring and I dry fitted it, and I saw that 2 of the joints weren’t tight enough to my liking. So that would mean there are 4 segments involved. But how do I know which on is off, or more importantly, how can I fix it so I can glue a full ring together, instead of half ringing it? Thanks again Tommy Schutz

All segments are the same the gap will appear randomly between any two segments fix by sanding a correction angle to any segment in the ring
