Question 1: C Question 2: Minority communities were denied affordable home loans which prevented them from purchasing homes. This created segregated neighborhoods. Over time white communities that qualified for the affordable home loans were able to buy a house, sell the house, and purchase a larger home. This lead to a generational gap as money could be passed down to children. Even after redlining was removed the damaged had been done, today we can still see the impact of policies such as redlining when looking at cities across the United States. Question 3: Blockbusting was when real estate agents went into white neighborhoods and convinced white home owners to sell their home due to fears of minorities moving into their neighborhood. This caused white communities to leave and move to new neighborhoods that did not have minority communities, Question 4: A & B (Note: Depending on the state you are in it may differ) Question 5: A food desert is an area that has limited or no access to affordable healthy food. People who live in a food desert often rely on convivence stores and fast food restaurants for food. People who live in a food desert are more likely to be obese and have diabetes.

C 2. redlining is when the bank refuses to give out loans to minorities, which cause them not able to purchase homes. this can lead to more segregation and wealth gaps. 3. blockbusting describes the process of scaring the white people out of a neighbourhood in order to purchase the land at a lower price. 4. A 5. food dessert describes a region where fresh food is unavailable. to residents. this can cause health problems such as diabetes and obeisty.
