Just ordered one from another website cause big battery is out of stock. They did say they were going to possibly get more back in stock sometime next month. Payed a bit more from another website but I’m still happy about the price compared to the consumer version. However, as I am waiting for it to come in I am doing some more research on this scooter. I have found some issues that I am worried about. Some people are complaining about an issue where the control board goes out. It’s apparently fixable but you have to take it about and do some soldering. Hear it’s a pretty tricky thing to fix. I’m not sure if they have fix this issue or not, but a lot of people were saying that this issue was caused by turning on the front led light. Apparently when turning on the front LED light it cuts power and makes the scooter slower and some people were complaining about the break also locking up. I’m not really sure if these problems are related to the control board or not but from what I’ve been reading is basically don’t use the front break and don’t turn on the LED headlight. Also people are saying about various error codes that would come up and completely shut down the scooter. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to yours and I’m hoping that I won’t have any issues when I get mine.

they are all related to the speed control board located inside the main bar of the scooter. check out bananascience.net, he provides services to ninebot scooters and is reasonably inexpensive. he also has videos on youtube if you feel confident enough to try it yourself.

I've used this for 3ish months now and haven't had any of the problems you've described, needless to say I probably haven't been using it as much as normal because of quarantine, but I've been using the headlight occasionally and the front brake all the time with no issues! :)

Got mine a month ago and its Branded under that cover with Lime decals and paint . you will have to remove that stem cover at some point once the handle gets loose .

I hope that isn't too hard to do (I'm assuming you're referring to the metal sleeve on the upper part of the stem tube). I put blue threadlocker on the bolts that hold the stem and front wheel to the deck to head off any loosening issues.

@@DylanDapperVlogs It is; mine still had the gray deck mat that says '$1 To Start' on it with the decal that shows where to get the Lime app on it which was covered with a white sticker (it came with the black mat in the box so I swapped them out). Also you can see 'Lime-S' on the ends of the handlebar grips.

My cover actually came loose on a recent ride, so I decided to just take it off. It was super easy to do, just 2 screws off and then make sure to screw them back in as the same screws that held the cover on were holding the handlebars on, I'm now going to be covering up the Lime logo with stickers! :D

I got the same scooter. It seems pretty strong and durable had it for about a month maybe a little more. Hopefully you enjoy your scooter. Does it actually have rear suspension? I didn't know that?

Can you please tell, how did you enable the bottom leds turning on and off, because mine is not working? The light don't turn on. They give a slight flicker on the start for a fraction of second and thats it.

That's beacuse it is! It was made for Lime (using a stock Segway ES4), they modified it and took out the folding mechanism as well as added stickers and changed the throttle and handlebars. Otherwise, all the electronics are from a Segway ES4 and it is virtually identical to one. Lime never used it and sold it to BigBattery.com which is why they were so cheap! :D

Not sure what you mean by this, but if you mean the white plates on the handlebar stem then yes they do come off (I've taken mine off as they started to rattle) but they're only covering the Lime logo.

It's not that annoying! Because of the coronavirus I haven't been taking it outside much, but it could easily fit in the back of most cars with one seat down.

I've tried it! We recently went out and it fit in the back of a minivan no problem! You could fit it in most cars, but you'd have to put one of the seats down. :)

I am thinking of buying this next week but the folding one from a guy that has 2 for sale at 550 each, new in the box, is that a bargain? Also i have the gotrax gxl v2 and actually love it i just ordered a second battery to help with range as i work 10 miles one way. The go trax i had a flat and added slime and a quick shot of fixaflat to the tire and have no problems with it. The gotrax does indeed have better handling in a lot of areas, i like shred it through gravel and dirt and through some grassy and hilly areas and it handles great, I also have a clone swagtron swagger 5 which pretty much sucks, but it was my first one. Ill give that to one of my family members eventually or mod it with a battery pack maybe. And believe me older people love scooters as i am 55 lol.

I'm not sure. If you need the folding mechanism and the standard Segway feel and that is a MUST, buy them from that guy. If you can take no folding mechanism and want the stability of a rental with the power of a Segway, buy these ones. :)

Mine has a top speed of 13 mph in Eco and Standard Mode (Eco mode has less acceleration to save battery), and a rated 16 mph in Sport mode (but I did get it up to 17 at one point). I weigh 180 pounds and had a backpack on, which probably explains the 1 mph less speed.

There is, but unfortunately the only way to turn them on is to use the app, which I'm pretty sure only works with Apple as of right now.

There is bluetooth on the scooter! And you can GPS track your rides, but you need the Segway app and it uses your phone's GPS.

@@MahiEurope No unfortunately not, as the scooter does not have a built in GPS module (the sticker from Lime states that it does, but the Lime computer that contains the GPS has been removed). Also a note - this scooter is now out of stock, as of quite a while ago! I believe there are other scooters with GPS functionality if that's what you're looking for.

The parts are just easy to replace, that's what they said. They are also taking out the GPS because it's for the rideshare company. Now, is it possible to activate the GPS?

Why would you want it to fold ? you would have to get a new foot rest . they are meant to be used to get around not to be out in the back of a VW Bug

@LuvKills Slowly… Forget about converting this model of the ES4 to make it foldable. I considered it and it's just not possible, not without some major cutting and welding. The folding capability was removed from this model due to its rideshare mission. The lack of foldability enhances its durability immeasurably. You just have to decide if foldability is a deal breaker, i.e. would you be willing to pay an additional $400 to get it back. If so, they are available on Amazon. I consider a $400 discount acceptable compensation for the lack of foldability. Additionally, I have no pressing need for it to be foldable. I do have a truck, so transportation would not be a problem. But, I bought this to avoid driving the truck (it's not electric, YET). However, my All Electric car has split rear seats, which allows me to put the ES4 in the trunk with the handlebars protruding across the flip down seat. It's not as elegant a solution as being able to fold the ES4, but it beats paying full price.

Update on this: The prebuilt Lime screws inside the stem and handlebar eventually came loose and I had to replace them, which was a real pain due to the anti-theft feature in the middle, but once I did the scooter was rock solid in terms of shakiness again and everything is running just fine after 9+ months!
