Seidr Practice: Platforms, Stages and Carts

Seidr reminds me of what a Medium I once saw did to go into trance. She had 4-6 different woman who would sing songs to bring on her trance. It was done in a room but the medium would sit apart from the circle of singers in a part of the room they covered with black drapes so the medium could be in complete blackness. She had two spirits she was a medium for, one a very young boy who died in a car accident and another a very old man. When she went into trance her voice and demeanor would completely change and she would sound like a little boy or old man and knew things no one should know about a stranger she’s never met before. It was really impressive and I wish I could see it done again

I also like your explanation. Reminds me of the psychological advice, to purposely do regular, normal, boring things that keep you occupied and grounded, like cleaning, cooking, gardening and so on, when you feel not being entirely yourself or paranoid or something like that. Makes totally sense if you imagine that this "trick" simply distracts the trolls away from yourself.

Great explanation as to "getting the gods attention" I'm trying to learn this art, and I've noticed anytime I do a ritual, if I'm up on my porch spinning fire, usually the ritual works better, and there is always a huge shift of energy. I think if you entertain the gods they do pay more attention. Great video.

Sounds like they were the psychic side show. It might have attracted the attention of spirits, I like that one. I should try this on the roof of my shed.. but nothing too high maybe.

It makes sense to me that it was used to attract the spirits. I have to say I’ve had quite a few strange things happen to me over time. This one time, I was vacuuming and backing up & wasn’t paying attention just trying to get shit done. The vacuum was right behind me & in mid step this voice yelled “Watch out!” right in my ear that it startled me, I yelled “what the f*ck!” turned & stood there. No one was home but me, no music or tv it was just silent. I would’ve tripped and cracked my head on the corner of the wall if I stepped back. On top of that, when I herd the voice it wasn’t my inner voice but it was a guys voice that I didn’t even recognize & lol he sounded annoyed like he knew I was a klutz to begin with & when he yelled in my ear I literally felt the wind of breath on my ear. Freaked me out. I definitely said thank you. Sounds weird I know & call it what you will but I definitely thought it was a spirit stopping me from getting hurt. Kinda made me laugh that he sounded annoyed with me😅

I think platforms simply mean that the individual is 'high minded'. Meaning that their decisions will come from a position that is elevated from the ground (base waking consciousness). It may be literally referring to parts of the brain that are ontop of another. If you meditate dear sir, you should by know realize that were your attention is, the mind receives information from that place, that's what the mind is essentially, a reflexive device. I come from a different pantheon and the most gifted seers are those who have lost their sight in order to acquire divination. It seems that the person DOES not use or receive information from the physical world at all, therefore, it wouldn't matter where the individual stood. I do believe there is power in being seen however! Perhaps being seen by many people simultaneously would somehow 'charge' the individual. Maybe there's also the thing you mention where you gain the attention of disembodied beings. However, the random beings bumping unto someone will rarely have anything of value to say and even if they do, the quality of their information will be no different (a little wiser) than the average person's.
