Great video! Thanks for showing and explaining exactly how to replace the gasket. The info and tips, especially part numbers and tools is awesome. Have a couple of tunas but have never tinkered with them. 😂

Not sure if you still have this but the trick to the bezel is simple. Loosen all shroud screws a quarter turn. Slightly lift the shroud up on the case about a thousandth or two, then tighten the screws. Make sure one side of the shroud isnt clamping the bezel moreso than any other side. Basically you tightened the shroud down with it applying compressive force onto the bezel. Little known, but the shrouds on 1k tunas are not supposed to sit down tightly on top of the case like a hat on a persons head. They are supposed to just rest on top of the case, because they hold the bezel in place. The more compressive force the more friction between case and bezel.

Sounds good - I figured it was a tweak but on this particular model it was so tightly toleranced I could get any vertical movement on the case. For my Darth Tuna it’s 100 the solution.

Awesome video, do you happen to know where to source a complete 300m tuna bezel

If it a U.S.A. sold model you might get lucky with Seiko USA. Otherwise eBay or Seiko mod shops. Sorry can’t be of more help.

Great video, Did you ever find what is the correct part number for the screw?
@djpharoah7XL3 жыл бұрын
JDM Seiko Tuna part numbers are almost impossible to find. Seiko USA won't even touch a piece unless it's sold within the USA. Gotta get your Google and forum searching skills up 🍻

I need to change the rubber bezel gasket for my spb051 , as it was so firm when new now it became loosy . So it seems that the rubber bezel has shrink. Do you know the part number for the spb051 ?

Sorry not sure. Check out the WatchUseek forums for this type of information.

Great video! I wonder what is the bezel insert made of?
@djpharoah7XL4 жыл бұрын
It’s a steel insert. More durable than ceramic.

Great video. I have a 7549-7009. Do you have the part number of the washer that goes under the bezel? I can't find it to save my life.

The click spring?
@yogevbarshavit3 жыл бұрын
@@djpharoah7XL I actually also now need the click mechanism in its entirety, but if I remember correctly, there was a nylon washer under the bezel. But I think it was a watchmaker mistake to put it there. Can you provide a part number for the click mechanism in its entirety? Thank you.

Hello! The same thing happened to my Sla041/sbdx035 Emperor Tuna. That gasket will fit the automatic 1000m tuna? Where I can find that info? I have been trying to find the part number but no luck yet.

Sorry I don’t remember - took me a long time to source one gasket from the forums.

I have a Golden Tuna that was bought for my High School graduation in 1981. Does anyone know where I can send it to for complete service and a new strap. I’m nervous about sending it out. Seiko sent it back saying they don’t have any parts for it. Thanks for any help!!!

Contact Jack@IWW. Being in the U.S. he is definitely your best man to service Seiko divers especially if Seiko USA can’t do it.
