At Seiko Exciting Time School, children delve into the intricacies of timekeeping technology, experiencing the precision of every second and the joy of craftsmanship as they observe the many small parts used in mechanical watches and engage in hands-on activities that simulate the work of an expert watchmaker.
We hope that children will not only learn about how people developed the technology to accurately measure time, but also experience a fascination with time and timepieces through hands-on techniques, learning the basics of watch craftsmanship. Furthermore, we hope they begin to think about the importance of creating a rich future, not simply with the tools of technology, but more importantly, by working together with others.
As part of its efforts to nurture the next generation, Seiko hosts the Seiko Exciting Time School, where children can learn about the history, and mechanisms of timekeeping.
