Seiko Quartz Final Restoration

Sit back and enjoy as we trouble shoot this Seiko quartz watch from the 1980s. The original movement is 8123A with 5 jewels. Could this Seiko quartz watch be a Kobayashi Maru ( a no win scenario)? I found that the best and most economic solution to repairing this watch is to replace the movement. I found a compatible movement VX43 from a Watch parts and tools supply store called Somal Canada.

The movement was only $6.85 plus tax and shipping. The best option so far.
