Great video, love the watch. I owned and sold on an SLA017, all due to the irritation of seeing the bezel misaligned, maybe I’ll give this one a try! Keep up the great content.

That gap between lugs looks terrible. Exposing push pins. Also, Bezel slightly too large for this vintage style imo. Also 6r35 for $1900 AUD...ouch! My experience with this movement is it's not very accurate. The way those endlinks sit against case look disconnected to me. Like the wrong bracelet for the case. Also those bezel minute markers are so misalignmened with the the dial minute markers. That would bother me every time I looked at the watch. Pass for me. Great review netherless.
@gmshadowtraders4 жыл бұрын
Lol so is there anything you do like about it then lol
@MarcraM824 жыл бұрын
@@gmshadowtraders I love the dial. And case finishing looks excellent.

Seiko's 6R35 movement can be easily regulated to within COSC specifications by any competent watch technician, so whatever accuracy issues one might experience straight out of the box shouldn't be considered a deal-breaker, if the design and construction of the watch appeal to you. Seiko's pricing, however, I agree errs on the side of optimism. At around US$700 - $900 this might be a more compelling proposition. Will wait and see if the market agrees with me or not. 😁😁😁
@resjon79813 жыл бұрын
Who really buys/wears automatic watches for their accuracy. This watch is so aesthetically pleasing. Consider this quote from the late Andy Warhol in regards to his broken Cartier he wore "do you really think I wear this watch to tell the time?" "I wear this watch as its the watch to wear!"
@HHIto3 жыл бұрын
I own Rolexes. I’ll pay for COSC.... add to sum, that’s me! I respect METAS, COSC. I also respect DOXA’s 2824 COSC....but prefer making this with high visibility. Ergo... Rolex > Omega > Doxa >Seiko. Please evolve?

I'd like to see Seiko adjust their QC to be respective of the prices they charge now.

Seiko’s genius lies in the fact that they’re able to convince people to buy a product with the same shitty quality control for a sum that’s multiple times higher than what they made before....which is basically the same thing. Shitty bracelet, sporadic movements, horrendous quality control, a “diashield coating” which means you can never polish your watch (ok that’s not the biggest thing). But what really pisses me off is that in the previous years people would bitch and moan about how Oris is pricing a sellita movement Dive watch for around $2000......And then they turn around from buying $400 prospects models to justifying $1200 prospect models? The level of hypocrisy is unfucking believable. I understand that Saco has hired consultants and realizes that it can never occupy the same market niche than it used to in terms of affordable watches, but that doesn’t mean that everyone jumps on the bandwagon and supports their push to hawk the same shitty quality for a higher price.
@rafayz90333 жыл бұрын
@Fiat Lux I respect that, I'll be sure to check it out

Seiko certainly has some cleaning up to do with QC, but I can't complain about their movements or coatings. I'd definitely try to handle some of their recent up-market releases if you can. They are solid watches

A grand for a nasty watch with no QA and a strap that doesn't even fit the case along with a movement that was in 300 dollar watches 2 years ago? Has Seiko completely lost the plot?
