Nice video. The only bad part is the background hissing sound! It should be easy to cleanup in an audio program

Weird that they cost the same when only the green comes with a bracelet. I want the brown dial version, but thats not available outside japan 😔

Mike this new Seiko Alpinist is awesome. Love the looks of the case without the extra crown and dimensions . I just recently purchased the new Seiko SZSB016 and it has very similar case design except mine is 40 mm . Thanks for sharing 👍🏻

I have this on a nato strap now. your right the first thing I did was remove the leather strap.

Not sure the alpinist is as interesting as the original. Same with the 62 mas reissue, is it as good as the 051 ? Yes the size is better at 40mm for most people, but I still think the 051 has more about it with the big hands and domed sapphire, really makes it pop. But that's the thing with seiko, they improve some thing's and then lose some things. Take the 051 range could have offered it in different sizes and different handsets for instance. Omega offer the same watch in various sizes and colours, which is a good thing. Seiko have done it with the skx replacement, maybe not in size but in colourways . I actually prefer the pin and collar system that seiko do, rather than screws that have a habit of working loose. They are easy to adjust quickly too , once you understand how they work. Good review though, even if I didn't agree with everything you said. It's all down to personal opinion at the end of the day.

Thanks, and agreed. I liked the 051/053 a lot except for the handset. If they had the handset from the 101 I would still own it.

@@JustWatchreviews no I prefer the handset on the 051. I know a lot of people didn't because of the original 62mas design, bit this was never meant as a copy of the original. Same with the new releases , why are the bezels so thick , etc ...because if you want a near copy to the original then you have to fork out 4k for a sla 017.
