Seiko SKA791P1 kinetic chronograph Unboxing and Hands-On and my opinion about this watch.

This great watch from the most recent kinetic range of Seiko is absolutely stunning.
With the green sunburst dial and the brown leather strap it looks like a million bucks.
Like every Seiko you get so much for your money that your really wonder why people spend 10 times as much for a watch that just have a more popular name. This video shows the SKA791P1 and also explains a bit how to keep it charged en how the kinetic watch works...

How is the watch performance after 4 years? What care it requires?

A Chronograph watch is stop watch combined in a normal display watch, this watch is not a Chronograph watch.

Does it loose it's time setting after you test the power reserve..... do you have to reset the time?

Sorry for the late reply, the watch runs pretty well. I don't use it every day but when I want it it's running fine and ready to go. The Seiko is often viable on my Instagram (#dutchwatchdude). I hope you enjoy yours just as much as I do 🙂

Just bought this watch in June 2020 and it has been an absolute nightmare to source in the UK (three order cancellations due to no stock, eventually sourced in Germany via Amazon) needless to say I’m very much looking forward to it arriving! Can you confirm whether the lug-width is 20 or 22mm please (there seems to be conflicting data online)? Many thanks in anticipation, Matt.

You're video helped me realize mine was not "broken" because of it's "noisy" nature. Sorry to hear of the sale, but it's hard to be unhappy about your Breitling. Thanks for your Seiko Kinetic review. I hope by now you have received and enjoying your Seiko Kinetic. I bought one in December, 2020. Mine has the cream colored face, not green. However, they are both handsome looking wrist watches. I was uncertain about keeping it when I received it because it was "noisy". I thought something was broken or loose inside. My Seiko Kinetic was my first kinetic watch. I generally buy and keep watches with automatic movements because I am awed by the idea that a simple mechanical device made by a human being can keep such accurate time. But there's something to be said about quartz accuracy. I have not had to adjust the time since I received it (06 December 20). Amazing. I hope you enjoy your watch as much as I have enjoyed mine. Read the manual, wear it often, and appreciate the Japanese engineering that went into making this amazing timepiece. BTW...if it's not too late, Dutchwatchdude is right...the lug width is 22mm.

Becauce if you translate it it is a timer... and every watch is.... People often think only a watch with stopwatch function is callen a chro but that is wrong... A chronograph is a timekeeping instrument....
