Seiko SNZH53 Fifty Five Fathoms

Such a beautiful design. I can see why Seiko borrowed it!
Not the best value watch in the world but is absolutely killer to look at. I left it out but the lug to lug is 47mm at the spring bars.
I really wish they would do a Prospex model like this that is ISO with a lumed bezel insert or at least triangle. The lack of crown guards and glass insert are super sharp together.

I've STILL got it! I've owned the same watch since 2017. It's discontinued years ago and is going up in value. I changed the glass to sapphire. Mine's still on an orange silicone strap too. I'll never sell it!

There's a new one coming out in June 2024. Small design changes mainly the crown placement with the 4R movement.

Always liked this blue dial but ended up buying the black dial, which I really like. Still, I never completely gave up on the idea of getting the blue dial one.

That watch is nice I have one.nobody needs a screwdown crown.novices always mess up threads.that's best looking seiko.I've moded.mine.the new skx.doesn't have screw crown.even omega doesn't use them

Nice review! Side note: 21,600vph = 6vps (not 5). I think it would make a great everyday watch, and not a great dive watch for the serious diver. So I disagree with the last comment in the video, but do like the in depth review quite a lot. Keep up the good work!

The cool thing about the J version it has Arabic day/date. Being arabic speaker I am looking for my J seiko and this one is on my list.

I tend to use the Arabic and Japanese date more often than English. It was fun to challenge myself to recognize the days and both languages have a very interesting look.

I have no idea why everybody calls this Seiko 'homage of Blancpain', ... handles, bezel, indices, color, crown, date aperture ... literally there's nothing in common, especially this blue version

This isn’t the homage... the homage is when you mod it. There are a lot of people that have done an excellent job converting this into a 50 Fathoms homage. There is an obvious “resemblance” to the real Blancpain. BTW Blancpain makes a beautiful Blue 50 fathoms. Google it...
