I love Seiko but I was put off with the aligment issue, I returned 3 MM300 before I decided not to bother and picked up a homarge instead very disapointed I used to have a turtle back in the day and it was built like a battleship however they was not anti theft proof lol thats life and thats a nice looking watch, I might give them another look.

I hear you! The alignment issues that have been plaguing Seiko’s QC in the past few years have been really disappointing. Like you, I also love Seiko, but poor alignment should be a one-off freak occurrence, not a consideration factor when buying!!

All watch Brands have been raising prices for the past 2 years. Why can't Seiko?

Absolutely correct, it just seems that Seiko prices haven’t just raised like other brands, they have jumped up significantly for some models. So significant is the price increases, that it becomes prohibitive to actually being able to own one. As a massive Seiko fan over the years, it just seems really disappointing that a brand I have collected for years are now heading towards a price level for some models which doesn’t necessarily reflect the specs you receive. Look at the recent offerings like the 62mas reissue or the Willard reissue, both these watches are over 1K! I became a modern Seiko fan from the days when they offered SKX or Monster models for around the £180 mark! The quality of Seiko, especially the divers, far outweighed the price you paid. But you are right, prices will always rise, I guess it’s just unfortunate and disappointing that the rises now mean I will most likely be priced out from a brand I love.
