37mm is old school classic male watch sizing so for a watch like this it just makes sence.

When you say "I love it!", that's all that really counts, isn't it. I'll be keeping an eye out for a good price. Right now I'm entranced with my GA-B2100 to which I've just added a nice metal case with a rubber strap with an expanding buckle that's a pure delight to use. NO FAUX CROWN I think being able to modify the look of these newer designs is a game changer. AliExpress came thru big time with a $32 case n'strap delivered in 5 days to California.

Hello Chris, lovely camera work and wow what a watch! I must admit that I preferred the look of their day/date version but was recently able to do a direct comparison, there's no doubt SM have upped the quality especially the bracelet, now with screws. The handset has grown on me too. I have a Solar Tuna-Lite converted to all steel, with a nice bracelet and the traditional handset which scratches that itch, it was my first non automatic watch (but did come in a very fancy carbon fibre piano gloss huge display box that probably cost more than the watch to make 🤣) I was trying to identify the exact Seiko model, I couldn't find a Spring Drive with a stainless steel bezel insert, and the closest I could find had a day/date at the 3 o'clock, shame SM didn't take advantage of the NH36A. I've had mine awhile now, initially I was going to replace the dial and handset but it's grown on me, and I live in perpetual gloom and can rarely make the date out anyway. The bezel action is incredible, this really is or was the Tuna homage. Looks great on either rubber or bracelet, I sometimes wear mine on a black Isofrane, to me it's a really pleasing shape rugged but still with a touch of class, only slight negative is the crown's shark moniker, you're spot on, the SM hexagon would've set this one apart from those that came before. Wouldn't have killed SM to have used the on the fly adjustment clasp either but it is available separately.

Being new to the Doxa brand and in doing research on the company and the current owner JENNY, I was giving serious thought to buying a Doxa 300t but then started looking at the 200t for the slightly smaler 39mm case size but have put on the brakes. The price is $1,990 USD for the 300t and $1,590 for the 200t. With Doxa admiting they are not a manufacturer and source out parts including China which I am guessing is the entire case and likely the bracelette, not to mention the lessor expensive sellita SW200 movement, does it even make sence to buy the genuine Doxa when it doesn't carry the same heritage? Then you have the Seestern which homages it very well and has featured the Doxa doesn't like drilled lug holes which I like.

Bit late to the party I know but bought this with black sterile dial over the summer. Put it on a detroit mint black leather bund strap and works a treat on my 7.25" wrist. Certainly up there as one of my favourite and regulars in a 50+ collection ( just can't get round to selling any 😉👍 ) . Thanks for the vid.

Just bought mine and received it a week ago!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I went with the Datejust version with the mother-of-pearl white dial, and the build quality, attention to detail, and the finish and feel of the materials are superb! There’s nothing on the market at this price point. I chose the Swiss movement, though I must say there was no paperwork or tag indicating it was that movement. I wish San Martin made a 42mm version of the Datejust-that would be epic! I’d buy it in a heartbeat!

I've had mine for over a year and I'm very happy with it. Great value, so far no issues at all and it is accurate. Continues to be a conversation piece in a group setting. For the couple hundred of bucks spent, I think I made a very good purchase. As far as homage is concerned, it one heck of a good homage. Contrast this to another homage watch line (I'd say it's more of a cash grab than anything else), the Moon Swatch from the Swatch group and you are looking at a shameless exploitation of the Omega wannabees - imaging spending three-four hundred bucks on a crappy plastic cased watch with a quartz movement named after the real mechanical Omega Moonwatch, only because it is owned under the same corporate umbrella.

My mate’s got one of these. He paid £109. For that he got a hand wound movement made from Swiss tooling bought by the company. It has an old fashioned ’bell’ like tick, 45 hour power reserve, well finished stainless case, sapphire crystal, column wheel chronograph (yes really), swan neck regulator and generally looks great. He even got a Milanese chain replacement bracelet for the composite strap that’s on it! I’ve told him he needs to wear it regularly as the proof will be in how it performs in daily use (Sugess recommends 3-4 year intervals for servicing). Not sure how they get round it, but it stands up very well to the Breitling. I’m seriously tempted to get this

Due to over excitement i forgot not to change the time and date at 9pm of my Seestern 62mas, From the date Sept. 15 to Sept 17. I suddenly stopped when i realized i did something wrong. Does it mean my watch will have a problem very soon? Today i have corrected the date using the hour hand by turning it until the date canged to Sept 23 which is today

Thank you for this excellent video. I don't know why, but in all the videos I watch in English about Seestern the pronunciation of the brand is always wrong. For marketing reasons Seestern supposedly positions itself as coming from Glashütte which is not a town in China, but is in Germany. In German, See is the equivalent of Sea in English. But the S is pronounced Z and the double e is pronounced ay (as in "lay") => ZAY. Stern is equivalent in both languages, but the English S becomes SH in German. The correct final pronunciation is ZAYSHTERN.

I still find it absurd that a "newcomer" brand with a curious name makes an infinitely better job homaging the discontinued 6105 than Seiko itself, with its 10 times more expensive and debatable SPBs.

I have two of these watches. The best lume of any watch I’ve owned or seen. I wished I could get my other watches relumed with the same formulation. Only watch that came close are my older Ball watches which need to be sent in for new tubes.

I love this watch. Fully satisfied the hunt for a dress watch with it.
