"The Strike" is the 166th episode of the NBC sitcom Seinfeld. This was the tenth episode of the ninth and final season. It aired on December 18, 1997.[1] This episode featured and popularized the holiday of Festivus.

Festivus is one of my top five Seinfeld episodes not only because I agree with much of the basic idea behind it (the over commercialization of Christmas), but also because IMO it was one of the rare episodes when all of the intertwined A through D storylines worked well, as opposed to one or two being strong and the other(s) not so much. It was also one of the instances when a Seinfeld reference crossed over into the pop culture lexicon and is still a cultural touchstone today, a quarter of a century later.

I just want to write that my name is Josh and i want to write that Seinfeld is my favorite half hour sitcom. i want to write that reruns of Seinfeld came to the Comedy Central channel in October 2021.
