Kramer accidentally gets a job at a company called Brandt/Leland when he aids an employee in the hall and starts going to meetings. He soon finds out he fits right in and starts working there for no pay, stating his reason as doing it "just for me." When Jerry asks Kramer what he does, Kramer responds, "TCB - you know, taking care of business!" A montage of his office work includes scenes of Kramer eating crackers at lunch and shining his shoes at the water cooler. By the end of the episode, Kramer gets "fired" by Leland (despite the fact that Kramer doesn't really work at Brandt/Leland) because of his shoddy work ("It's almost as if you have no business training at all").

From the episode "The Bizarro Jerry", the 137th episode of the American television sitcom Seinfeld.George uses Susan's death to pick up women. Elaine's new friend is Jerry's exact opposite. Jerry's new girlfriend has manly hands. Kramer pretends to work for an upscale firm. This was the third episode for the eighth season. It was originally broadcast on the NBC network on October 3, 1996. The title and plot extensively reference the Bizarro (the polar opposite of Superman) and Bizarro-Earth concepts that originally appeared in various comic books published by DC Comics. This episode is famous for introducing the phrase "man-hands".
Seinfeld l "Jerome "Jerry" Seinfeld is the main protagonist of the American television sitcom Seinfeld (1989--1998). The straight man among his group of friends, this semi-fictionalized version of comedian Jerry Seinfeld was named after, co-created by, based on, and played by Seinfeld himself. The series revolves around Jerry's misadventures with his best friend George Costanza, neighbor Cosmo Kramer, and ex-girlfriend Elaine Benes. He is usually the voice of reason amidst his friends' antics and the focal point of the foursome's relationship."
Notes About Nothing from this episode:
The concept of a Bizarro universe is directly taken from the Superman universe, in addition to verbal references to Superman: There is a Bizarro Superman action figure in Kevin's apartment.
The signature Seinfeld theme song is played backwards throughout the tag, another reference to the "Bizarro" theme.
Kramer's work sequence is set to the tune of the song "Morning Train (Nine to Five)" by Sheena Easton. The song would be used again in Season 9's "The Butter Shave", when George is hired at Play Now.
When George is combing his hair at home, there is a poster of Dennis Franz in the background, which George uses as a guide for combing his hair.
The actress who plays Gillian is Kristin Bauer. She has been cast in various TV shows, in particular CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Crossing Jordan and Desperate Housewives, usually for only one episode. She had been featured in the February 2002 issue of Maxim as the #50 girl.
This episode features Kramer's 300th entrance.

Waay back in the 80s we had a group of casual workers who came in at night to sort printed reports and package them for distribution to the companies that paid us to do their payroll processing. They were a close-knit group and I'm convinced that some of them got the gig simply by turning up and working alongside their mates for a shift or two - no-one particularly cared as long as the job got done on time. To be fair, word of mouth went a long way in that company and HR was a shadow of the monster it was to become by the turn of the century. Kramer wouldn't even get in the building in 2023 ;)

Not quite the same, but an engineer friend of mine told me of a story where a guy was fired but kept showing up for work to finish a project literally no one else was working on anymore because he put so much of his heart and soul on the task. He ended up getting paid for the job by going to a different higher-up and saying "___ never paid me for my job." It stuck with me for years.
