I can relate,I once worked in a steakhouse as a waiter and every time I'd bring a certain customer their steak. They would whine that I made it wrong which I would reply " I'm the waiter not the cook" 😑
@roxanne10923 жыл бұрын
I worked at a Papa Murphy’s years ago. We were told not to tell customers that it would be any longer than 15 minutes for their order to be ready and walk in’s were to be helped first.🙄 It was talking 45 minutes to get orders ready. We only had five people able to make pizza’s, one to answer phones, one for the main register who greeted customers and stalked items. And we had a drive through, which took a pizza maker off the line to give orders out. One pizza takes around five minutes to make. I was at the front of the make line starting orders and organizing order tickets as they popped up. This night was super busy as expected so we had a full crew and pizzas ready to go. The orders kept coming in and the lobby and drive through were full of people waiting to pickup or order. At the height of the rush I had 3/4 of an inch tall stack of Pizza orders, some with multiple pizzas on one order. This is when a woman came in and started yelling that no one greeted her (Yes she was greeted). She then complained about having to wait in line because her order was called in ahead of time. I was so done with customer service that I picked up all the order slips and asked “do you want to come back here and make all of these”. ..lol Woops… F.Y.I go in around closing time and get pizzas that were not picked up or were mistakes for a discount. Employees are not allowed to take home those pizzas or any of the out dated items home. They get thrown in the dumpster.😤Everything is fresh they don’t lie about that. They may take out meat from salads that are still fresh but the lettuce looks bad. Monday is when they make fresh cookie dough. Just take them from the back of the cooler for fresher ones. And there are no fresh eggs in it. It’s safe to eat raw.

I was a kid when this bit premiered. Honestly, one of my best memories watching my aunts and mom and dad watching this and them cracking up laughing. I dunno what even brought it on after all these years but I just yelled it out to my 10 year old 😂😂😂 she was so perplexed 😂😂 I had to show her the clip. She didn't get it. That was the beauty of sienfeld. The simplistic complexity of it, the stupidity of the comedy was just enough to be complex. One of the greater comedies out there in that time. My moms passed and my childhood has given way to my childrens childhood. They know different things in a different time, such is the way of the world, I suppose. They'll have a view of the things they observed me doing and enjoying, I guess. Wish my mom could have made it long enough to meet my youngest and know my oldest past the age of 4ish years old. Cherish the time y'all have for as long as you have it. I'd like to walk around with the power to say "no death for you" but the only guarantee in life is death.

I'm a person who lived in USSR times and at first I did not understand why this episode is considered to be so funny. Actually, at that time the service in USSR was pretty normal. Salesmen were a privileged caste. And if they sold scarce goods, and at that time almost everything (from elementary food to goods) was scarce, the sellers behaved haughtily, boorishly, and the buyer stayed in long line had to be ingratiatingly subservient, otherwise the deficit might not be sold. Everything is just like in this episode, but it wasn't funny....
