I can’t believe Mr. Kruger (played by Daniel von Bargen) was only in 4 EPISODES. It feels like he was on the show for so much longer. That’s a testament to how good of an actor he was!!

Just released today March 4, 2015, Daniel von Bargen who played Mr. Kruger passed away over the weekend after a long illness, he was 64. He was a great character actor, stage actor and his Mr. Kruger on Seinfeld was one of the best, I smile every single time I watch. I hope he is at peace.

3 years prior to his death he tried to commit suicide due to the agonizing diabetes he was dealing with. He had a leg amputated and a 3 toes on the other foot. Really sad story...

His actor...can't recall his name...thank you so god damn much for all the laughs...I loved him.and all his work, Seinfeld, Super Troopers and Malcolm in the Middle. I feel sorry his last years were health wise so terrible, I just want to submit it here thank you so god damn much for all the joy and laughter his acting brought into my household over the decades

As many of you probably know by now, Daniel Von Bargen (Mr. Kruger) has recently died at the age of 64 reportedly from complications from diabetes. He was 64. (June 5,1950 - March 1, 2015)

He was also in Philadelphia (1993) where he plays one of the jurors in the final trial. Very distinctive and eye-catching, and in Seinfeld highly comical. 😊 RIP, master.

The actor who played him was 47-48 years old in the episodes he was featured; he just looked older than he actually was. So, he was far from being "old" and "senile". Kruger was just lazy and irresponsible, more so than George himself, which is why George eventually quit that job.

Kruger was SO great, the character was very, very well played and funny. As the boss he managed to be even more lackadaisical and ambivilent towards work than George - quite the accomplishment. Like he said in one of these clips 'he always left me wanting more.'

People love you, Daniel. Someone should get you a copy of the movie "This Old Cub"--an inspirational documentary about Ron Santo, the baseball Hall of Famer who lost both legs to diabetes. I can't imagine the pain, but there is a way through it. May God bless you and help you recover.
