actually, Iranian military branches are very picky about their arms. Since 1930s they have been manufacturing Heckler Koch (HK) arms, most recently (1960s and 70s) HK G3 submachine guns were the standard issue. The IRGC branch personnel are issued AK47, AK104 (i believe). Their armaments are generally German, Austrian but manufactured in Iran under license. Their Tanks and APC used to be all American until 1979 when they started to use the Russian and some Chinese ones. They actually export a lot of arms. The caliber of many of their armaments are NATO compatible. Iran recently shipped 300,000 155mm artillery rounds and much more to Russia based on NY Times.

@@geoffreyveale7715 funny how you cherry pick those dates and just the US. Look at World War I and II yearly lost ratios and you will quickly realize that Ukraine could relatively speaking mobilize another 1.5 to potentially 3 million before getting to the point that they could not mobilize anymore and even those numbers are probably too low. Obviously Russia can mobilize more due to bigger population, but it would also mean that bigger cities such as Moscow or St. Petersburgs population would feel the pressure of war much more and from what can be seen, Putin and or the Russian government seems to have tried to not target that population excluding volunteering centers that have been set up due to potentially concerns of mass public backlash similar to the 2022 mobilization that saw a large number of Russians either flee or try to flee. Ukraine isn’t supported on a large equipment level comparable to NATO countries or else they would have at minimum something like 200-300 chally 3’s (even if a large amount are only good for spare parts), another 200-500 leopard 2’s, and if memory is right something like 300-600 leclerc’s. Let alone aircraft such as Mirage 2000’s, Rafael’s, Eurofighter Typhoons, F35’s, Tornado’s, and Gripen’s to name just fighters/multi-role aircraft.

@@geoffreyveale7715 I doubt that they lost 300,000 since they have spent about half the war in a defensive position. People use that number because it would justify the over 400,000 the Russians have lost. And it keeps these same people from having to explain Russia's incompetence in how they are running this war.

The 😂 irony of America being upset about someone else supplying weapons when it literally floods the world with them

Is this piracy? I thought only Houthis and Somalis did this?

Only piracy when it erodes US hegemony.

It was smuggling. Now it's confiscated. Then it will be donated to Ukraine.

Not really, it's called forfeiture. Since they didn't listen to the UN agreement to not send weapons to houthis, Iran forfeits the weapons.

@ttpechon2535 that’s called a legal fiction. In real life it’s stealing.

What a waste sending them to Ukraine. It's basically just returning them to their manufacturer.

I'm betting the US gov't probably agreed to leave all that for the Taliban as part of the withdrawal agreement. 🙄

A lot of the NVGs privately purchased in UA have come from Afghanistan allegedly.
