Menashi just didn't know when to leave well enough alone. She just had to go on another power trip with Haruto. She all but ruined him once, then threatened to do it again. I loved the way Mido knocked her down to size by exposing Minashi's affair with the manager. That being said, the voice talents were off the charts. Everyone was terrific. Especially the woman who did the FCs. Her delivery as Mido against Minashi was flawless. You could feel the fury in her character, which was perfect. I didn't blame Haruto for keeping people at an arms length at the beginning. If I had gotten burned like him, I might have done the same. Mido-san was great for making him come out of his shell, and help him restore his faith in humanity.

Harassment is a two-way road gender wise; a man can abuse a woman and get away with it due to his position, and one false accusation (most likely made by a woman) can ruin a man's life when he's innocent. Haurto rly suffered just for not having feelings for his superior, well like they say "hell have no fury like a woman scorned" but in saying that; Menashi really got the third degree by Mido... she got exposed for the sad woman she is, severes her and that manager right!

I think Menashi had a high position in the company mostly because of her affair with Nijo. In exchange for her high position, Menashi would demote, reassign, or fire subordinates who offended Nijo or threatened to expose his sexual harassment. This kept Nijo's hands clean, but the rumors of his affair with Menashi couldn't be silenced. The power gradually got to Menashi's head, and she later abused her authority to hurt anyone who got on her bad side, leading the rumors to worsen. It got to the point where the affair became an open secret, barely hidden by Menashi and Nijo's efforts to hide the truth. Menashi's fortunes were tied so closely to Nijo's, so that when Nijo fell, so did she.

Haruto’s life really took a turn for the worse just because he rejected Menashi and didn’t see her as a romantic. It’s like as if if a woman confesses to you you have to accept it if you don’t have any interest and if you don’t it becomes something bad. Then she went on and ruined his life and falsely making accusations of him that weren’t true and he got fired to be precisely transferred. I don’t blame him for distancing himself from everyone and thought that Mido was just like Menashi. I’m glad he got to know her and she exposed Menashi’s lies and helped Haruto become more open and I’m glad they ended up together

A story that shows you just how cruel this thing called desire can be.

#1 Haruto's reasoning has one major flaw. He says he wants to keep his work life separate from his personal life to avoid having problems again. But his problems arose from lies that a colleague told. So even if he still avoids going out drinking with coworkers, how can he stop them from telling lies about him? Maybe some coworkers take it personally that he always avoids going out for drinks with him and want revenge. So his action is not a guarantee of not being swindled again by his colleagues. So he could also go for a drink with colleagues, perhaps avoiding outings for two and preferring those with more people. And in any case it should always have a audio recorder active, so that he can have evidence if it happens again. #2 If we see what happened to him... What accusation is "he asked me out to dinner several times"? Where is the crime committed? Is there a company rule against inviting colleagues to dinner? or to hit on them? Where is the evidence that he did something wrong to have to decide to transfer or quit? I think the girl and the boss (who were related if I understand correctly) were lucky that the protagonist didn't take the case to HR or some lawyer. #3 Then the girl behaved like this because he refused her or because from the moment of the refusal he stopped going out and interrupted any non-working relationship with her? He said they were friends, maybe she felt rejected and abandoned. (not that that proves her right about how she behaved) #4 Too bad that in the end she doesn't have the right consequences for what she did. Falsely accusing a coworker of harassment is one of the worst things a person can do. So she should have been fired and had a criminal record on the matter. And instead she didn't pay for what she did to the protagonist but only for the clandestine relationship with the boss.

The fate of Menashi: Now working at a night club, Menashi's pay at the night club, got reduced in half since she has to pay former manager Nijo's ex-wife's alimony. So Menashi is barely making ends meet, since she has to pay rent in her apartment and other expenses. At the night club Menashi works, there was an incident that would've almost put her in greater debt hell. A customer by the name of Hiiragi, was making advances on Menashi. Because Menashi is still paying that large alimony she still owes, she couldn't risk herself getting sued again for having an affair. Hiiragi continued to make advances towards Menashi. But Menashi continues to reject Hiiragi. But Menashi's intuition to reject Hiiragi, was right on the mark. Hiiragi was caught in the act by a woman who claims to be his fiancee. The woman's name was Yuzuriha. Yuzuriha was Hiiragi's childhood friend and the daughter of a company president. So the engagement between Hiiragi and Yuzuriha, was due to their parents. Hiiragi promised to marry Yuzuriha, and vice-versa. Yuzuriha found out about Hiiragi making advances towards a woman at a night club, due to the rumors spreading. So Yuzuriha hired a private detective, to track Hiiragi. Yuzuriha right there and then, had her engagement broken off, and charged Hiiragi to pay consolation money. Yuzuriha then accuses Menashi of having an affair with her fiance Hiiragi. But Menashi defended herself, by saying she's been rejecting Hiiragi's advances, since she herself, has enough problems of her own. Menashi's coworkers at the night club, defended her, from Yuzuriha's accusations. So only Hiiragi faced the wrath of Yuzuriha. Menashi thanked her coworkers at the night club. Menashi then revealed what happened to her former company. Menashi used her past, so she could not make the same mistake again. This time, Menashi rejecting Hiiragi who had a fiancee, paid off. For now, Menashi is working hard to fully pay the alimony she still owes. At least, Menashi now has friends, she works with at the night club. Menashi even became friends with Yuzuriha. Last what Menashi heard from Yuzuriha, her ex-fiance Hiiragi, got disowned by his parents, due to the engagement getting cancelled. Menashi is glad that she dodged a bullet this time The end

I can understand Muto's anxiety after what he went through. I've been in similar situations myself where I put my trust in someone only for them to try to take advantage of me and hurt me when I tried to stand up for myself. These things can seriously hurt and make you question if any of your other relations might be toxic as well. It can be even worse when they begin to make threats against you and try to manipulate you into silence or make you feel like it's your fault. In such a threatening situation, it drove me to lack proper care for myself and become extremely paranoid to the point that I could no longer hide it from my family. My family ended up calling the cops when I broke down and confessed what was happening to me. Later on, my dad explained to me what an emotional predator is to me and apologized for not warning me about them sooner as I am a prime target for such horrible people. I even told my college friends about what was happening to me (I got cornered into telling them because, as a result of the stress I was under, I ended up having to carry around a plushie of mine everywhere I went as a sort of security blanket to help keep my anxiety under control, including to my college classes), though I was so worried that they'd get scared off if I told them as the threats being made against me stepped into serial killer territory. Luckily, my friends did their best to comfort me and were furious that anyone would do such a thing to me. It was the first time I shared my burdens with my friends, even though I was always willing to listen to my friends' problems and help them, so it meant a lot to me that they were so supportive of me during such a difficult time in my life. They even went out of their way to talk to our teachers and classmates about my situation so that no one would give me too harsh of a time or make fun of my coping methods to get me through such a stressful time. I was genuinely scared to ever share my concerns and burdens with anyone, but that horrible experience really taught me how important it is to have a good support system and that it's okay for me to share my problems with others. I've always been willing to help my friends, but never understood that it was okay for me to ask for help from others until then and it meant a lot to me to find out that they were willing to return the kindness I had shown them. Of course, I don't spill all my issues to them or try to abuse this mutual exchange of kindness. Considering the situation I had been through, I didn't want to repeat the issues I was being subjected to that caused me such paranoia. But, when I need to get something off my chest and it's not too heavy for them to handle and the timing is appropriate, I've become more comfortable sharing my problems with others and get the help I need. Having the right people around you can really save you from a terrible situation that you can't handle on your own. I was seriously lucky to have such a loving family and good friends to protect and comfort me when things like this happened to me. I hope others find the right support for them, too, when they need help.

One of my bosses was fired for unprofessional conduct by the same worker that got me to quit. She fabricated a whole love story between her and my store manager. No proof, just her testimony and tears. HR was her friend, company just fired him and didn’t even ask his side of the story. From what I was told later on, the whole investigation was the HR lady vouching for the woman. Found out a few months later she was an embezzler. Boss was trying to find out where the money was going. She got him fired for it. They didn’t offer his job back, just pretended like nothing happened. It’s not that every woman WILL do something like this, it’s that every woman CAN. And a guy has no way to prove his innocence after the accusation and tears.

I transfered to different "departments" twice. It was when I was an elementary school teacher, and the "departments" were actually different schools: 1. Half of the faculty & staff at my school had to be transfered because so many families moved out of the area. I volunteered to be one of those to transfer since I could move to a school a LOT closer to my home. BIG mistake. Despite my accomplishments, I wasn't offered a contract for the following year. I sought a position elsewhere. 2. So I ended up going to another school in another county, even further from my home than my original school. But the people there appreciated me and my work, so it was a good transfer. I ended up staying at that school for 20 years. Sadly, in neither case did I find love like the MC. Sigh.

Oh, and as for you, Mr. Nijo, well, you can enjoy the end of your marriage, as well as your career, and if you try to send someone to stop me, and/or try to do so yourself, well, I will also be ready for that, as will this company and the cops. I hope that you two enjoy being unemployed, homeless, and life inside of some prison cells.

If the truth was that the wife of that manager knew about an affair for 3 years, I think type of thinking isn't uncalled for. Being screwed over by her husband will only bring about hate from within. I'd say the same for if the roles were reversed
