The MC's dad calling him lame at the beginning of the story because he didn't have a GF was exactly how I felt whenever the subject of relationships came up during conversations with my friends and family. And not just lame, but LAME. I've gotten over that, but it's made me a bitter old man now years later because I've never had even a GF, much less a wife. People (mostly men) tell me that I'm better off for never having to go through the pain and aggravation of having a GF. I used to counter that by pointing out that all of those folks who tell me that got to have GFs/wives, and that they were happy for a time in their relationships, and that they sought out new GFs when their relationships ended. If they truly thought being in a relationship was so horrible, why did they dive back into the dating pool again and again in search of another GF? At least they had the happiness of being with someone, however long or short it lasted. I never got to experience that, and now I'm too old for it. I've had a cat abandon her kittens under my place before. The stink when they died made it difficult to use the room over them, but it was my bathroom, so I had to put up with the stench. So the next time I heard a lot of kitten mews under my house, I checked it out. This time the mother didn't abandon her babies. They got tangled up in the net-like stuff under there that held up the insulation to the underside of my floor (a flood had pulled some of it down). So I crawled under there with a knife, cut them lose, brought them into my house to remove the rest of the netting (with mama cat watching through my screen door), and took them back outside for their mother to carry them off to somewhere new. Why would girls be turned off because of his job? He has a job, which is normally the first thing girls have on their lists of qualifications for a man to have for the girls to date them. And it's not like this story takes place in India, where people who do such jobs are seen as being as disgusting as the vermin they handle. This story takes place in Japan. And it's not like the MC has my former job: I was a 3rd shift (11 PM to 7 AM) wastewater treatment plant operator. In other words, I worked nights at a sh*t plant. If it went down the drain or was flushed down the toilet, it came to my plant to be cleaned up. I didn't get any of the "stuff" on me, but just the thought of what I did for a living was enough to inspire nasty, disgusted faces on the women I met. And I did that for 13 years before I returned to college to get my teaching degree.

And not just the stuff here on YT, but the books, too. Stuff like "Fly Me to the Moon," "Doomsday with my Dog," "Sweat and Soap," "Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro," "Reborn as a Space Mercenary," and some others. And I still read American comic books, too. I buy them every Thursday. You're never too old to read good stories and appreciate good artwork.

@ProfibobWot I am in the States. In fact, I live in the state of Georgia, not far from Atlanta. About my love life, or my lack thereof... I had really crappy luck. Most of the women I asked out (99%) were cruel and vicious. The put downs started with ugly, and they went on from there: repulsive, gross, disgusting, revolting, and more. One woman who was a friendly acquaintance called me a pervert for asking her out on a coffee date so we could get to know each other. Why? Because I asked her out even though she was younger than me... by only 2 years. And we were both in our 30s, so I still don't understand that. Women in America seemed to think I'm some kind of Quasimodo-like creature or thing. Granted, I'm overweight and balding, and I have severe gout and arthritis. But I can't help any of those conditions. The women are also very two-faced about it. They tell me that I'm a great guy - smart, funny, honest, witty, charming, artistic, caring, sweet, nice, great with children - until I ask them out. Then they turn around, and the insults come out. Very few (1%) have refused to go out with me in a nice, polite way. Such has been my so-called love life. As for the long answer, I'm a writer now. Mostly a novelist. So I guess it comes naturally.

As for saki’s father ( named him Waruto ) After the divorce he was disowned by his family when they heard about his insults towards Tsukasa and that he is an arrogant person. Waruto also quit his job when rumors of him being an arrogant father who insulted an exterminator. Waruto lived on the streets but he still didn’t not let go of his pride and unbelievably he went to Tsukasa and Saki’s wedding where he held Tsukasa hostage intending to kill him for making him divorce his wife. Waruto was about to kill tsukasa but his grandfather and Tsukasa’s father restrained him while police came and arrested Waruto. Waruto due to him being guilty of attempted murder was sentenced to life imprisonment. Waruto later died in jail due to him being beaten by Hadley the prison guard That’s all folks

Those kittens are both family's good luck charms. The babies got loving homes and in the process helped their humans find love, get rid of the "human" pile of garbage, and alerted everyone about the termites who could have destroyed the one home and even spread to the surrounding houses. The kittens are even still close enough for playdates if everyone wants to try.

MC's mom: no need to rush yes and no. yes, it is good to be ready before committing to marriage and having a family. but that also takes a ton of physical, mental, and emotional strength. super generally speaking, you have a lot more of that when you're younger. so, MC's dad was right in that sense. post story: ex-dad got a new place, but it soon got run over by ants and other critters. he called his daughter, demanding she call MC to take care of it. she took the call but didn't pass along the message, blocked him, and changed her number (mom, too).

And for real guys like Sudo are everywhere no wonder why Saki's mom decided to kicked him out and told him to never show his face in front of them again. Glad everything went well to good people! After story: years after the divorce, Saki’s dad was barely making ends meet. He worked multiple jobs for little pay just to survive. One day he saw his daughter Saki in town, and planned to ask her for money, but when he saw her with her husband, and daughter he froze. As he watched them having fun together he began to think back to when Saki was that age, and how much he loved her. This caused him to break down in tears as he watched his daughter, and granddaughter happily holding hands with there husband/father cursing himself for driving away his family, and wishing he could do it all over again.

His father says he is almost 30 but the MC is 26. He probably has those thoughts of marriage as well but people have their own priorities. Just cause he doesnt have a girlfriend doesnt mean he doesnt think about those things so nosy parents can just be cruel sometimes. Also exterminators tend to get paid pretty good as well. Many of those companies give extra pay due to the hazards they work with and in my state they make like 22 dollars an hour on top of what they make off the contracts they can get though my friend who does it works like 45 to 50 hours a week so sometimes it sucks but his pay is good. Around 42k a year is not a crappy job. Id say anything under 30k means you may struggle time to time depending on cost of living in your area. Heck i barely make over 25k and im single and i struggle sometimes.
