I like the fact that while most people are doing challenges like "No prosthetic, no combat art, no sugar no leveling..." you are going in the complete opposite opposite direction: you are using everything at your disposal trying to beat the boss in the most optimal way, it's spectacular and very entarteining, good job!

I never got how people enjoy limiting themselves. The game gives you a bunch of stuff to use to make it MORE fun. Shouldn’t we be using everything in order to maximize the amount of fun we’re having?

​@@randgemes8978 fr that's why Owl the "Great Shinobi", I'd also say he's a better shinobi than Wolf, not in terms of strength but in terms of being a true shinobi. Wolf has a strong sense of honor and duty while Owl will use any trick in the book, especially in his Ashina Castle fight. Dude tries to disable your healing, super delayed attacks meant to catch you off guard, feigning attacks, and smoke bombs to attack unseen. He's willing to use every single dirty trick in the book to win a fight. Its the kind of stuff that makes fromsoft games so incredible. Part of the storytelling and characterization is done in the gameplay rather than just being revealed in dialog. It's what makes video games so unique. They allow you to be told about a character's personality in a way that can't be done in any other medium, which is why fromsoft makes some of the best games ever made. For example, as good as games like The Last of Us are, I think they work better as TV shows than they ever did as video games because they effectively feel like the script of a TV show was adapted into a video game and the new show is just adapting it back into a show. The game doesn't really utilize the medium it's in, but it just happens to be a really compelling story. That's why when so many games tried to copy the last of us format it was so shitty, because they were copying the mediocre delivery of the story, and the story they were delivering was significantly worse. TL:DR Sekiro is amazing

I think what’s actually most impressive about this are the cancelling of the transition animations. After the first and second death blows, as we all know, there are some transitions that Isshin does. In a casual playthrough, the player is forced to just watch this happen. However, it is possible to do damage during these transitions, but it is extremely hard. The reason I say that subverting these transitions is the highlight of the video is because not only does it take incredible timing to wreck those transitions, but it takes ridiculous positioning as well. Not to mention using correct abilities, of course. Beating those transitions takes three of the most important parts of combat to their limit, and Ongbal does it perfectly.

It’s milliseconds, but maybe enough to reach 1:19 - he could do a running leap at the start instead of running all the way and then jumping straight up - he whiffs a single R1 But that’s literally all I could find. It’s god-like execution. Utterly beautiful. It will be sad if Elden Ring can’t be even half as elegant as Sekiro

I think he could've maybe used the spear afterwards without the forward dodge and still reached, but it'd probably miss the first tick of damage, could've maybe ended up slower (isshin wouldn't have deflected so he'd have done a different move)
