Recently Resurrection mod has been updated with new features, so I took a showcase video. I'm mostly playing Elden Ring now and it's definitely a great game, but I still think best FROM game is Sekiro. I really hope that Sekiro2 will be released someday. You can check patch notes detail from the mod link in description.

this is why I stick with resurrections because it still makes the game harder but it never felt unfair. It felt like fighting the inner versions of bosses, or what could've been inner versions. One of my favorite fights from resurrection so far has been gyoubu. Currently working on beating Isshin, still stuck on his second phase like when I fought his original form but it feels really fun and fresh because of the revamped moveset.

@@justarandomguy8694 I get exactly what you mean. I headbutted my way through it and eventually beat ishin but didnt even try the other versions. I always thought "man the sword moves are actually really good but all this elemental, damage, instakill AOE bullshit really ruins the fight" Eventually you figure out EXACTLY what youre supposed to do. @omegalynx17502 жыл бұрын
There's just something special about the immaculately polished combat of Sekiro that no other game could ever hope to match, let alone beat. The difficulty of combat lies not in obtuse enemy patterns, as they are very well telegraphed, but rather in actually responding to said properly-telegraphed patterns. I believe this is what makes the combat in Sekiro feel so fair and downright addicting to play. You seldom get in a situation in which you have no idea how to respond, and when you eventually make mistakes, you know exactly what you did wrong. The intuitiveness of combat means you can rely heavily on your reflex and problem solving skills, and I think that's incredibly exhilarating. Glad to see you come back to this masterpiece!
@TheKueiJin2 жыл бұрын
In a way, it is a dance. That's what most people that play it compare to. You are dancing with the bosses. This is why i despise Elden Ring. You're given bosses to dance with. But your character is, at best, a fumbling idiot that can barely trudge along.

@@justarandomguy8694 Sifu was fire, but is it just me or the second level was a rather sudden and sharp increase in difficulty over the first level? It felt like Lvl 1 was very easy even for a beginner but level 2 suddenly became crazy. I get that it's in some sense a skill check before you progress to further levels, but yeah I feel there should have been one more level between Lvl 1 and Lvl 2. Other than that, Sifu would have been my current best game of the year prior to Elden Ring. Hopefully they add in more levels and expand on the combat and environmental interactions in the coming DLC[s] cuz it's a solid solid game.

Sekiro is how I found your channel. Your Elden Ring videos are great but this is really what shows off your technical prowess better than anything else. I took a break from Sekiro for a year and seeing your videos gave me the motivation to get back into it and platinum it. Sekiro was by far the most rewarding FromSoft game. Nothing feels better than finally getting through a boss using only parries. I went from struggling with every boss to not feeling like I beat them until I could take no damage from them like you. It's the only game I want a sequel for as badly as I do Bloodborne. So glad to see more of it from you.

A cool thing that I finally figured out is that at the start of the fight when Isshin says “come, Sekiro,” he uses the humble form of come, “mairu,” 参る. He could have used the casual form of come, kuru, or the polite form, kimasu, but he chose to show Sekiro a deep level of respect by using the form that “humbles” himself and puts himself lower than Sekiro. I couldn’t hear what word he was saying when I first played the fight myself. Of course if I’m wrong about this feel free to correct me. Edit: I’m actually wrong, read the comment below
@pouihurmen2 жыл бұрын
it's actually the opposite. while "mairu" is indeed a humble form of "to come/go", it is only used with that connotation by the person who's doing the coming/going. When it's used in a request, today it would actually be considered extremely rude, similar with "yoroshii" being a humble form of "ii/yoi" (good/fine). It's common to ask a person above you "yoroshii desuka?" but it would be incredibly imprudent to answer "yoroshii" to a person asking you if something is okay. Wolf also says "mairu!" at the start of each fight with Geni because he respects him. When Isshin says "maire" towards Wolf, it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't respect him but Isshin is 100% talking from a higher standpoint which is only natural because he rules over Ashina after all. It also has to do with the fact that it's sort of old-man as well as samurai-lingo but Isshin is definitely not putting himself lower than Wolf here.
