Everyone says this but I've tried to get into the game on 3 different occasions and on my most recent save I've been playing have killed Butterfly and Genichiro and I'm up to the first ape fight now. I can honestly say I hate the game, I've hated most of my time with it and I understand the combat completely but there is simply no freedom of approach and I find it tedious. It's purely simon says gameplay: attack?deflect, sweep?jump, thrust?mikiri, grab?dodge. It's just pure memorization until you get the rhythm of the fights do and at that point you may as well watch a video of someone doing the fight because it's going to be identical to the way you do it. Think the game is just not for me and sorry but I just felt the need to vent. I'm happy so many people love the game as much as they do but for me it's an exercise in frustration, and I feel annoyed I don't enjoy it as much.

@@dualshooter2461 It depends which ones. DaS1 is my favourite game of all time but I simply couldn't enjoy DaS2 as it just felt awful, DaS3 is great and I enjoyed it but it was too linear with too much r1 spam. Haven't played BB since it's PS exclusive and Elden Ring I feel has great build diversity but was way too bloated for it's own good, if you removed all the copy and paste content and reduce the size of the open world down and stitch the legacy dungeons together the game would be much more in line with what I want from a souls game (I still enjoyed it). It's funny I've played though Lies of P recently and am doing a few more runs of it for achievements and I honestly think it's better than some FROM games, too many people are dismissing it as a "soulslike" but I think it does a lot better than the company that made the genre. Your review was very good btw, I enjoyed it and you put forward you opinions in a good way, you should do more of them if you get the time and have the desire.

I played Sekiro for the first time this year too. It was epic. I can't believe I held out on it for so long. I've played Elden Ring, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne and this, and it's in my top two favorites, barely trailing Elden Ring of FromSoft's library I've played. So good. 10 out of 10.

Every now and then. I try searching sekiro 2 to see if I get any results. This video came up. I love new sekiro reviews. Even tho the game is old. I have like 20some play thru’z on this game. I’m done everything I can. Even the glitches. I’ve done them all. I’ve gotten all the outfits and beaten every single thing I can possibly do. This game got me into gaming actually. During covid I got 2 Xbox one x’s one for me and one for my daughter. They sent me a Xbox with like 6 war games on it I don’t even remember. Even tho I didn’t order it. So I kept it. I was looking for a game. And I searched hard games for Xbox. And this one was an interesting choice on the list. So I got it. I couldn’t even beat the first enemy for a few hours. Keep in mind I never play games. I was completely newbie. Anyway I became a pro. I’m proud of myself actually

The only exception is Inner Isshin, with him the new changes really don't improve the fight one bit. The new moves while look cool, are absolute pace breakers, they don't flow well into the base moveset. Not to mention his A.I. got kind of weird, now he is less likely to use his coolest moves, taking away from the spectacle.

This year was my first venture into these kind of games. I loved Elden Ring and recently just got all the trophies for Lies of P. This game kicked my ass. I totally agree it’s so difficult to get into this game. I was rolling and attacking slowly, dying constantly and even early game bosses were killing me. I almost gave up but after the Genichiro fight I finally started to understand it. Don’t get me wrong I still died but not quite as much, the game just opens up and the combat is so satisfying! Great review 🎉

The only gripe I have with Sekiro is that I get super lost compared to other FromSoftware games. When I'm actually progressing through a level and being challenged by the bosses, it's a blast. When I'm trying all the dialogue in the castle to figure out where to go next, it can be kind of hellishly frustrating.

I got sekiro about 2 weeks ago after 100% lies of p. It’s more forgiving than lies of p for sure but did take me a couple hours to really get down. I’ve since 100% sekiro, can “speed run” a play though in about an hour and have completed all gauntlets. Probably my favorite part of sekiro is that you can just hop into any boss fight that you’ve played before from anywhere. It’s one of my biggest gripes with dark souls and elden ring where if there is a particular boss you really enjoy fighting you either have to kill yourself at the end of the fight or you have to complete the entire rest of the game to get back to said boss. What also helps replay-ability to me is that even the gimmick fights aren’t difficult once you’ve completed them once. My goal now for sekiro is to get 99 atk power (at 75 rn). My biggest gripe is also how confusing it is as it took me about 5 playthroughs to finally memorize the proper paths for each section of the game. Overall my most enjoyable platinum so far and just hope and pray a second one gets greenlit in the future but if there is only ever one to preserve the integrity then I’ll happily replay this over and over. 10/10

Found your video after I started Sekiro 2 weeks ago, and I can totally relate to most of your comments. I started FS games from Elden Ring and I must say the lack of story telling is such a turn off for me. I only regained my interest after I watched some KZbin video explaining the lores and story. I know this is what everyone's calling "Souls style" but I don't want to be a detective piecing info together to understand a story 😅 I also like the fact that the character progression in Sekiro is skill-tree based instead of stats leveling, coz I don't have to keep track or think which one to invest 😂

This brought back my attention to this game. And man WHAT a game from FromSoft! This is a masterpiece of the same order of Bloodborne, Dark Souls and Elden Ring. Bloodborne more so tho, as I loved that game for its attack at all costs approach. Rather then shield blocking. But Sekiro's sword play is just....WOW! It has a proper weight to these sword strikes. Absolutely for everyone, that's finished and stuck it out and finished the game, with it's multiple endings all worth it and what an excellent journey it is in finding those endings, and the combat is perfection in the sense of being something tangible and real and not an ideal notion or interpretation, however to essentially take on the best of the best in a style combat or art from a great warrior who can't be stopped or bested this far, until the wolf Shinobi comes along and learns and masters and mirrors and best the warrior with such unlikely and improvable odds, yet the posture the stance that is just as important as the weapon yielded as a strong foundation and stance is key master the body master the weapon master the mind, and not only does a Shinobi come along and end those foes they do it with a permanent handicap of having only 1 true and functional arm that is connected naturally capable of sensations and sending messages to the brain as such so all that said, that what makes this game truly phenomenal, and genichiro is the perfect it clicks moment and when you get the rhythm it feels so much engaging and fair though difficult its fair and the problem in front of you has a solution you! So yeah this game has an ability to bring rage In it's purist form disbelief as to how something can be so cheap and frustrating, l but at the same time once you get it accomplished it's like huh 😮,well 🤔 who's next 😈 I may die many times or not at all, but they most certainly will die even if its multiple times and if they don't learn the first time then they will be mwt with the undeniable displeasure of learning again 👍

This is the most brutal game I’ve ever played over my 35 years of gaming, but it’s so worth it. The atmosphere is nailed. You feel so alone and in danger everywhere you go with shrouded mystery. YOU have to take responsibility for beating the game. You cannot cheat by summoning, which I never did in any other FromSoftware game and this was still the hardest. Imho I think Bloodborne is a better game and that’s because of my fascination with gothic architecture and horror but both games are incredible. The only issue I had with Sekiro is the learning curve but it’s all about practice and taking breaks. This brings me to a broader point: why can’t more AAA developers craft challenging games? Nah, I don’t think that’s the case. I would give Elden a 10 as well. A few games in their library I consider 10’s with no hesitation. Zelda for example has breath of the wild, twilight princess, and ocarina of time. Just because I love one more than the others doesn’t mean I need to take away from another game in the series.

Sekiro content in 2023? And a 10/10 score? Liked and subscribed. You deserve more viewers. You only managed to trigger me once (😂) when you talked about stealth and you said you can "cheese some areas". Sekiro to me (and many others) is a spiritual successor to Tenchu and stealth is "the intended way" to play (DISCLAIMER: you play however you want, hence the quotation marks on "intended way"). Sekiro is literally a shinobi, a stealth assassin (to quote Tenchu again) so using the stealth mechanic is absolutely the opposite of cheesing... it's simply playing a game using one of its MAIN mechanics. Also sorry for asking you all these questions but is the level design annoying like the other games like complicated, I don’t like having to search every single crevice for a very important item I would miss and the annoying enemies coming out of corners like the other games, this was a very good video you have earned a subscriber 👍

If you have a real death, if I remember correctly you lose half your money (sen) and skill points you had gained. You can resurrect which is typically recommended. If you continue to die over and over again it does give your rot essence, which makes it harder to get unseen aid. Unseen aid will allow you to not lose sen and skill points…I think lol

Also, in terms of searching ever crevice, I would say that it’s the most linear in terms of its main story. I didn’t get lost in this game, as it’s usually pretty clear where you have to go. @@dualshooter2461Actually the ”clicking” doesn’t happen for everyone. I played Sekiro through after all, but never got the timing for the parrying. So I gave up with it and cheesed most of the bosses with some help of the environments and using mikiri-skill and the other special fighting skills. Some of them worked really well for draining the posture from the enemies. I was pretty much spamming those moves just in a relatively good timing, and that got me eventually through every enemy. Sure, some luck, a lot of tries and loads of farming skill points (you can do it only after finding certain masks - a side Quest) were all needed, as I’m absolutely impaired with rhythm games as I can’t consistently hit a very short rhythmic window. I just can’t - even how much I would practice. But thank God there are other options - even in Sekiro.

We have had some discourse on here about which game to start out with… but I now believe Dark souls 1 is the best place to start, but Elden Ring isn’t bad either. My reasoning is this, Elden Ring is a much more forgiving game. In terms of how open the game is with its open world, summons, and better mechanics. So, I feel that Elden Ring will show you why these games are so good, and not throw you off. Dark Souls will always be amazing no matter what, but it can be hard for people to “get it”. I always thought Sekiro was a great game but never understood why the combat is praised to the high heavens. Since when did parrying becoming absolute innovation? You Parry.......then you Parry......followed by a Mario stomp on the head. Ive beaten the game many times but still think that Niohs stance system is a game changer and deserves faaaar more praise.

I think its for a couple reasons. From software's popularity, and also because while it's difficult, it becomes natural to play. Meaning, for most, it almost feels like you mastered something. While the mechanics themselves aren't unique, they are done very well IMO. As for Nioh, I started that years ago, but never finished. I need to play through that.

dual shooter i have a question which game should i start playing in the soulsborne ones
@dualshooter2461
@dualshooter2461 10 ай бұрын
To start out…I would definitely say Elden Ring at this point. It is the most approachable with tons of ways to play, and it’s the most forgiving. It allows you to explore and get stronger in case you get stuck. In case you are worried you will get spoiled when you try to play the other games, I haven’t experienced that. I thought that would happen with Sekiro, but it didn’t. Just took some time to adjust. Dark Souls will always be amazing for example, if you play through Elden Ring first. Also, I’ll just say play whichever way you want, if you want to use magic, or summons. Go for it! Some purist will say you shouldn’t use help in any way, like guides or summons, but I don’t agree with that.

Go in order

@@Gorlami90 I like that idea as well, but I do feel Elden Ring is so much more approachable, that there is less risk of putting someone off from the games. If you fall in love with demons souls tho, you are set. So I can’t argue with you 😂

I honestly can't disagree with you...Playing them in order might be the best route. I personally started with Dark Souls, but going back to play these games, is an adjustment period, but they still maintain their magic. @@sdotwallace

@@dualshooter2461 lol god I can’t imagine. How hard it would be to get back into. Though this is also only the 2nd FromSoftware game I’ve tried. 1st being Elden Ring. Being able to summon people for help. And also levelling up stats. Helped , so much in that one lol.
