I think people have a bit of a misunderstanding of stealth in this game. There's very few characters that you need to approach slowly or "quietly", shinobi and bosses can be a bit more attentive but not most others, and even after someone turns to face you theres about a half second where backstab still applies, so you can literally sprint up to people and they wont detect you until you're right behind them. Speed is your stealth in Sekiro, as long as you're not standing directly infront of someone, they won't see you. The upper castle floors for example has an Ashina elite that crosses the bridge in the upper room, you can basically jump past him and wall jump over the bridge railing to land beside ir slightly behind him and he wont notice you. Also jumping is silent, so if you run up to someone you can jump the remaining couple of meters, land directly behind them and they wont detect you at all.

Sakura Dance is such a game changer, it's hard to go back to any other weapon arts. It's satisfying enough just comboing into a simple shuriken toss before hitting the ground to follow through with a chasing slice. If you lock off fast enough, you can direct your chasing slice away from the enemy to create distance, or to put pressure on another enemy in the group with more Sakura Dancing :)

@@Ty-v6v-c4r My point is that there's a lot of variety with this art. Like umbrella to block projectiles > follow through > shuriken > chasing slice > Sakura Dance > axe > follow through. Took out half of Genichiro's posture that way, lol. But shuriken's chasing slice is quite a bit more reliable than spiral spear, tbh. Enemies often perfect-deflect the spiral spear and counterattack through it, at least that's my experience.

@pretty boy You can deathblow right away after using the first strike though. The way I use One Mind is that I do the first strike, then I immediately cancel the animation lock with a dodge then I do another one. If enemy is posture broken I end up getting an easy deathblow right there.

Is Sakura Dance the best combat art in the game?

In my opinion, the Nightjar Reversal and the High Monk are the best combat arts. Nightjar Reversal lets you keep up the pressure on bosses whenever they run away to gain back their posture like Sword Saint Isshin and Owl does. High Monk can be used to punish bosses' posture quite severely whenever they attempt sweeping attacks. Both can be used to dodge attacks consistently.
