Sekiro Shadow Die Twice - KOTARO Complete Questline Guide ALL 3 POSSIBLE ENDINGS

Kotaro is an NPC found in the Senpou Temple region and has 3 possible endings to his quest with only one really being the best option.
Step 1 - Speak to Kotaro.
Step 2 - Find the Red and White Pinwheel and the White Pinwheel (both are before the first boss and after the second idol).
Step 3 - Return to Kotaro and now you make an ending choice.
Ending A - Give Kotaro the White Pinwheel and use the Divine Abduction weapon from the Sunken Valley Region to send him away. Visit the area you fought the 4 monkey bosses and he’ll be there and give you an item.
Ending B - If you’ve followed Doujuns Questline up until this point, you can give him the red and white pinwheel and send him to the dungeon area. This will end up resulting in fighting a zombie version of Kotaro at the end of Doujuns Questline. • Sekiro Shadows Die Twi...

Warning: Not sending Kotaro to Anayama will prevent you unlocking the final items from his store and not sending him to Doujun will mean that you’ll need another NPC in the game to take his place or you’ll miss that Questline.

There's another possible ending. You can simply use the divine abduction without even talking to him. He will reach the hall of illusions but will stay confused.

When he asks wolf to spirit him away, wolf asks him why he wants that and kotaro replies that he was tasked with taking care of the children but now they've gone somewhere and left him behind. Now if you roam aound and go to the broken bridge, you'll see a lot of bodies of children, hands and legs tied up scattered around that place. I think these were the kids he was tasked with and they were killed because of the experiments monks did. 😭😭😭

@@Existenceispa3n I'll try it has been a year, when you meet the merchant after killing a few bosses and already in that Buddhist temple area, go back to the first area you started in, the one with the mini boss who's afraid of fire, the merchant is there sitting next to a big door you can't open but can jump over it, after talking to him he'll ask for a partner to help get more items to sell, you'll agree to the quest then head back to the temple and find an npc giant monk that sounds like he has brain damage and he's looking for a friend, mention the merchant to the monk and he'll go to the merchant on his own DON'T DO ANYTHING ELSE WITH THE MONK, after that kill a few more bosses, head back to the merchant & he'll have new items to sell and in great supplies you can keep getting, hope this helps other new sekiro players, have a happy new year.

What i did was i mistakenly killed anayama In hirata state he was robbing the houses i didn't know he was anayama until i came to his memorial mob and found he was no longer there so when i went to kotaro and gave him red and white fan i wanted to send him to anayama to get unlimited supplies but he was no longer there so only option i had was to use abundoned dungeon one I didn't use it i searched for white fan and then i spirited him away and then when i went to meet him he was happy with the children and after getting mortal blade the first thing i did was to kill hanbei i am really happy with my choices its a big W

Materially, sending him to Anayama, as the only way to get some of the upgrade is by completing the quest this way, this will get him killed when Interior Ministry invades Ashina Castle. Morally, the best ending is to give him the white flower and sending him to the Hall of Illusion. Of course, the worst possible ending is to send him to the dungeon.
