Sadly this cheese has been taken away. Congratulations on discovering it. You can no longer bounce off the wall. I tried all three walls and verified my technique in the main hall pit. You just fall back down and get killed.

This is where I quit Sekiro. It was a lot of fun, but this boss was nothing but a lot of pain. At this stage I got one ending, that was enough. Maybe I'll go back and get another ending, but not the one that requires this boss. Playing Zelda now. It's actually fun.

I’ve been trying for nine hours to get this method to work and I cannot get it to work. He just won’t stay in the corner. Twice I’ve made it to the second phase but after the second phase I die instantly.

Yeah it's very tricky to get him there and find the right angle for the attack! It took me about 60-90mins.

You saved me king!! It took me half an hour of practice and I succeeded, just have to hit the empty space with the sword, but in such a way that it also hits him 🎉

I used the corner a little bit but I beat him legitly it did take me 7 hrs

Why not just learn the movesets? That takes way less than 9 hours and is way more fun. And less frustrating than trying to confuse an AI. Just make sure to grab all 40 beads and all 10 gourds first.

It would be amazing if someone could beat him for me. I’ve only made it to his 2nd phase once. In I think 30 tries. And that is just way too fucking long. To spend on one boss.

Well, he resisted the cheese pretty well. I bet Inner Father would resist it even more, with his teleports. I spam dodge counterattacks against Lady Butterfly but that's hardly a cheese of this magnitude. I can see why speedrunners would use them but they kill all sense of accomplishment.
