In Australia, We have a similar, or the same type of species of bird called 'Willie Wagtails'. They are SO unafraid to get close to people or animals! If you stay still enough, they really will hop over closer, whether they know if you are there or not. Always makes them appear super friendly. I always love seeing them, they're adorable!

I came to Japan roughly 10 months ago. This kind of bird is super friendly. I've never seen something like this before. They come very close and are not afraid, even if you walk very close to them. In a cold snowy day, I saw one entering a store and standing near the entrance, probably because it was warm.
