The reason he was reading the lyrics from his phone is because the song was proposed to him very recently. The song was composed but they had no artist for it until he accepted it.

just a comment about the last song, that you are comparing with Moldovas song from last year, I dont think so they are trying to copy the success of Moldova last year. Everyyear in Romania and in Moldova in the national finals you have this kind of songs. Regarding the level , always Romania is seems to be one of the worst NF, llamame was last in the odds, Yodel it also was not into the favourite, even Cezar. Looks like Romania in general is underrated in my opinion, in general they work a lot in the stage so probably any song they decide they will work on it
