You sent me six Ilyodon furcidens back in April of 2015. I had seen a pair at Aquarium Co-op, but couldn't buy them (they were in a huge tank at the time). I've managed to spread some around, and currently have about 35. Beautiful fish-- still some of my favorites. Algae eating machines! Thanks for the update.

Thank you Greg for doing this video. You inspire me and many other fishkeepers. The Ameca Splendens that I got from you 8 weeks ago have tripled in size and I am beginning to get breeding behavior.

Love your videos and the fish you keep. Currently trying to finish out a two car garage to turn into a fish room/art studio. Want to focus mostly on wild xiphophorus but definitely want to get some Velifera in a big tank. Keep up the great work.

Do you have any specific date of when they gonna be available again (im really inpatient and excited at the same time forgive me)

Do you ever make caves that are green or brown? I have a pretty natural looking setup and it'd be sweet to have something that doesn't stick out with the look I have.

Lol you need to move to Florida Greg. Or find a partner in Florida and start farm producing these species in large breeding colony ponds. It’s harder to selective breed, but large colony breeding is really better for maintaining a more natural strain

Do your cheeks puff out like Dizzy Gillespie when you hit those high notes?
@selectaquaticsoferie
@selectaquaticsoferie 5 жыл бұрын
Great Question! No - not at all. Dizzy was a poor self taught kid that developed that habit when young and never corrected it. Trumpet players today work hard to develop all of their facial muscle groups to prevent that sort of thing from happening. Thanks for the question!
