I just bought this bbs hatchery for 5 bucks at the Atlanta Aquarium Association swap meet today. I'm so glad you made this video because this will be my first time doing this. I also subscribed because of all the great videos of " how to" projects you've done 👍

I tried to live with very hard well water. One way I found that works is, let it set. Old water, now I mean "Old Water", months old. Placing rain water, as it is softer, worked for me also.

Ever thought about breeding bigger fish and using the Ilyodon furcidens culls as feeders?

When you were designing the hatcher and tested items for the lid noise did you try "bumpons" from 3m with VHB tape?

Excellent. Now to put mine together now that I seen how you did it and I finally have a bottle. I like the way you separate your stock to get your breeders for you. Great video.

Thanks for the video. I am no expert, but i am looking for an expert opinion on this. I see you feed frozen nauplii, I assumed that people like to feed live food because the live movement triggers fish (fry) to eat (more vigorously?). If you do hatch to freeze the nauplii, why not just feed (cheaper) decapsulated (non hatching) eggs directly to the fish?

Good Morning Greg. I was going through a your videos and I came across one of them where you said something about you using tap water and about 20% percent water changes where there could me some chlorine in the water. Could you direct me to that video if you know what I'm talking about? I've tried searching for that particular video and have gone through quite a few videos trying to get that information but I don't know which one is the exact video. 🙏

I continue to do some restructuring here to expand the current species lineup, and once things are completed, I look forward to doing so.

You mentioned starting to ship this upcoming week, will that include the Long fin green dragon bristlenose plecos? I’ve been patiently waiting all winter 😅
@selectaquaticsoferie2 жыл бұрын
Each species here will be sold and shipped followimg its Availability Video, which will be posted as soon as they are ready. The Green Dragons are still fairly small following their breeding season from Nov - Feb., and I looking forward to posting the Availability Video for them as soon as they hit 1.5-2 inches. A species is simply not ready until it's availability video is posted, and the order I expect to put them up was discussed in the video. The Availability of each species will then be kept up to date on the homepage at selectaquatics.com Thank you! Greg Sage, selectaquatics.com

My tank currently has lots of floating dirt due to new cories stirring up the mulm at the bottom. Is this a health issue besides looking cloudy like with their gills? It is not biological, not bacteria strictly mechanical. It has a lot of suspended solids.
