On the subject of Power Regen, I do have to point out that while 8.1 per tick does sound rather low it actually isn't. Even at level 15 you will have an out of combat regen naturally from drink and what not of like close to 50 or even more in some cases. But in-combat is a different story. On Varsoon at level 80, you may not have much more if even 10 power regen per tick. So even a level 15 Bard is going to double that. A level 80 Bard will have 72 instead. One thing to consider too, is this power regen song is up from the beginning of the fight and always up (unless an encounter knocks off buffs as a mechanic). Meaning that level 80 bard on a 5 minute fight would have restored 3600 power. This is going to give significant amounts of longevity to classes with heavier power requirements such as Paladins and Wizards. This also stacks with enchanter power regen and can make some groups go power neutral in some cases allowing them to go for as long as it takes to take down the encounter. With that said, different groups are going to have different requirements. There might be some cases where you may not need the power regen and can select something else. In my experience, especially with pugging, its definitely helpful to have. This song alone can mean the difference between stopping for a moment or two in a PUG in Seb or continually pulling and resulting in greater amounts of exp over time.

...The absolute #1 by-far most widely-wanted/needed/wished-for/hoped-for/addiction-causing thing that both Bards and Enchanters brought to the table in EQ1 was, and still is, mana regen. And in EQ2, where EVERY single class massively depends on mana/power as a resource, I would assume it would be even BETTER in this game, and I always used it back in the day when I played these classes and no one ever complained. I can't comprehend how it could be considered 'not good enough' of a thing, even if it's just a small increase; does anyone else who plays this game have a take here? Is it really, actually not considered 'wroth it' or does this guy just not understand the value?

It's GREAT on Origins! On the other TLE and Live servers, it's only really good for the first expansion or so because there are other flat power items and spells that are just better unfortunately. On Live, Bards/Enchanters get super good power spells and AAs, but the power over time spells are just not good enough.

I've never played EQ2 before. Thanks for the videos. I started playing a conjurer and I have interest in some sort of support. I don't intend to group. Is there a best way to go with a support for solo?

Illusionist is a good support to solo with. Maybe coercer as well?

My Dirge was a Rezzing CANON during Raids... And I had my AA's built so that I could get them up Faster, and with more Hp & Mana, as well as less Rez Effects... Was GREAT fun playing, and keeping the Raid Groups "Up and At Em".!.!.!.!

Between Troubadour and Dirge, if I'm grouping with my brother who is a Warden, which would you recommend? I was playing Assassin originally, but after toying around on a Troubadour a bit, I think I prefer to play a Bard.

Absolutely! For buffs, Spell Proc -> Stat Buff -> Haste would be what I would prioritize, then whatever from there. For damage spells, Shrill -> Debuffs -> whatever from there.

Are bards the ‘puller’ in EQ 2 like they are in EQ 1, I feel to new too EQ 2 to be responsible for pulling lol.

Nope! Bards are just support/dps. In EQ2, the tank in the group pulls so they can get initial aggro.

Bards are sort of useless on Varsoon out of a raid environment IMO.. anything they have, enchanters can do better. Content is just too easy now :(

Don't be discouraged! Also, noticeable differences in DPS personally if I don't have a bard in groups and in raids. As expansions go on, bards get better and better.
