Bhilithinn Selena was a true artist and a true lady, both on stage and off. As talented as she was, and as big as she became, she remained humble and genuinely loved her fans, and didn't go around with that "Do you know who I am" kind of attitude that's so common among the artists of today, who don't even have a fraction of the talent that Selena had. It's funny, but it seems like the people who are the most talented at what they do are usually the most humble, as well.

@selfan4evr5 жыл бұрын
Selena's star ceremony was attended by more people than any other in the history of the WalK of Fame, and she was given an evening star ceremony, which is rare, and considered a big honor. The last person to get an evening star ceremony was Ringo Starr, who was a member of The Beatles, which shows you how loved and respected you have to be to get an evening star ceremony. She actually has 2 other stars - one on the South Texas Musicians' Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi, and another in front of the San Antonio Hard Rock Cafe.

@musicaltheatergeek797 жыл бұрын
'Diva' just refers to a very successful female vocalist. It's also come to mean 'a demanding/temperamental woman' because many so-called divas act(ed) this way. But the term itself is not offensive, depending on the context.

@selfan4evr5 жыл бұрын
Within 5 months after Selena's passing, 745 baby girls in Texas, alone were named after her, and in one county in California, it was 1 out of every 100 baby girls. The name "Selena" was very popular in the nineteenth century, and she really re - popularized it. The name "Selena" is a variation of the name "Selene", who was the goddess of the moon in Greek mythology.
