To this day I regret turning down tickets to her last concert at the astrodome. I was in high school and my friend Cherie asked me to come with her. I said no because I don't like Mexican music! Being African American all I grew up on was R&B and hip hop. Cherie tried to convince me that this girl Selena is different and you would Love her! I said no again and then she told me your loss! A few weeks later I saw Selena on the news about her being shot and in critical condition, and they were playing videos from that concert, and I was like damn I should have went!!!!!! 😫To this day Cherie teases me about that day for being a stupid ass. Ever since the moment I saw Selena on tv the day she passed I made a promise to her I'll always be her fan, I bought all of her "tapes" at the time and had lots of memorabilia of her.
