David saying this comment about Dan could be seen as mildly rude or an awkward joke. I undestand that Dan is now not the person to show on a kids' show. He knows that too. He said he's aware he wouldn't be invited back even in January. The real issue is that David comes off as judgmental. the problem here, i think, is that Dan now is an adult content creator that doesnt fit the disney brand so putting him puts david in a bad position since disney has strict rules for hiring and even if producers wanted the company would say no

Everyone who had any interest in the reboot and actually followed it very much knows and those are the people who actually matter in this context.
