I've invested more hours in that Metal Fatigue demo when it was released than I do on some full games now.They didn't get to the part where you can rip components off the other other bot and then /attach them onto your own bot/. You could even bring a part back to base with a hovertruck, backwards engineer it, and build them for your own bots. It was pretty rad.

i was stunned to see them play majesty, i owned the full game years ago and now own it on steam, and based on how old it is, its a quite good game, even though the games today are much more superior. as for how it works, you place buildings (some are guilds, some are for money, some are for other uses) and hire heroes from your guilds, you can't directly control heroes, but you can place bounty and explorer flags worth gold (the gold comes out of your pocket) and the hero who reaches the flag or destroys the target its placed on gets the gold. you can also create some guilds that have elemental powers, these are temples, when you place/upgrade temples you earn spells that you can cast, giving you a form of direct control over the battlefield. the challenge of the game comes from the unique means of controlling the field and the restrictions that are on some levels. you also cant place some temples with others, because the religions conflict, so you have to pick one side. if you place a temple to Algera, you can't place a temple to Krypta or Fervus, and vice versa. it's a very in depth strategy game for it's time and is still OK in my opinion, even with all the new games out today. oddly enough, after being untouched for years, there was an update yesterday, fixing some bugs. funnily enough the start of the announcement for the update was "After a long beta..."
