stars dance is an amazing album. i’d dare to say selena’s best. firstly, it is sonically cohesive, which is such a point in favor. then, the lyricism and production are overall pop perfection and selena’s vocals sound better than ever. she really went far with her belts and with her falsetto register. i love it so much.

+MariFe Ba artists like to interpret songs too. theres a message behind each song on this album hence this video. so, its not really different at all. and as an actress/singer, the most important thing to me and a lot of people, is how you tell the story as a song which is why when you are learning from someone, something very common that they tell you to do is to pick apart the song and make it a monologue and learn to tell the story before singing it. this is just some insight. don't take it the wrong way, everyone has their own opinion; just thought mine might help you to understand better. :)

And now she's preparing for "S3" as she called it. "S3"! Which means she's preparing for her 3rd studio album. But her third studio album was Rare in 2020, the second was Revival in 2015 and the first was...Stars Dance in 2013. So it means she doesn't acknowledge Stars Dance as her 1st studio album. I mean, I know that Stars Dance is a really EDM, a club-oriented album with less deep meaning, just like "Britney Jean" from Britney Spears, which came out in 2013 as well...and their fans HATE these albums. But is it really that bad to trash these albums and just "forget (them) forever"? For me, these are solid EDM pieces of work! These albums really mark this specific music era in 2013, when EDM was at its peak, and it was literally EVERYWHERE this kind of music! Stars Dance and Britney Jean are testament to female EDM pop music, and I really think these albums are masterpieces, despite having so much auto-tune. Too bad Selena doesn't like the album so much that she doesn't even consider it as one of her albums. I mean...looking at this video from 2013 she really was telling about every single track with passion. #JusticeForStarsDance
