I've seen your reactions the whole weekend! Soo love the way you react. Selena was at least 10 years ahead of her time. She was in Charge of all her clothes designs and make up! AB Quintanilla (one of her brothers was the one who made almost all the arrangements) and she loved eating a lot, specially hamburguers. If She were alive she would be at least one Beyoncé. You are right that typically that's how the "E" in Spanish is pronounced, but her first language was English and her name was very representative of who she was, a combination of both cultures. So she would pronounce her name as Seh-Lee-Na.

Not a big deal but in Spanish phonetically her name would be pronounced as you are pronouncing it, but she pronounced it as if it was spelled "Selina". That's how she has always been known.
