I was at that wonderful concert. Emilio Navaira opened the show and Selena closed it, she was the biggest star that night. People with their banners, glitters, applause, everything was an event from another planet. She was so beautiful, even more beautiful in person, seeing her say goodbye to more than 66 thousand people was the most beautiful thing, seeing her so radiant. She was a being of Light 🌟

I actually saw Selena about 3 months prior to this Astrodome show, she played at a packed Tejano Nightclub in November of 1994. My one and only time of seeing Selena live, I wanted to go to the Rodeo Astrodome show too in February 1995, but wasn’t able to go, thinking I’ll catch her show next time. Sadly she was killed about a month after this Astrodome performance 😢. I’ve always treasure that one show I did get to see her in Nov. 1994.

The queen of tejano such a beautiful down to earth person i actually met her in person of all places Walmart and got her autograph we're both from corpus Christi Texas and it was an honor meeting her i will never forget her i stop her statue on my morning jogs along shoreline and stop and say a little prayer for her every time i go in the mornings may she rest in peace 😇🙏

The woman was fire. I love seeing this performance but it makes me so sad at the same time that I fight tears. She was going to be huge, she was really going to give Madonna, Janet and other pop stars a real run for their money. It's to bad we can only imagine what could have been. She would have been the perfect pop star. OMG she had it all, beauty, body, hair, dancing and omg that voice. We were really robbed of such an amazing talent.

Awww Selena 😢 I had no doubt you’d love this! She was the whole package, talent, beauty, charm, and grace! She has often said being a Mexican American but raised here she grew up on R&B, Soul & Pop music. She has credited Whitney & Donna Summer as her vocal inspirations and studied Michael, Janet & Madonna’s performance styles. This video displays it all. In fact when she blew up she was called “the Mexican Madonna” for her sexy stage outfits. I discovered her about a year and a half before she died and still haven’t gotten over it! 😩😩😩

By this time she was getting acting roles in spanish novelas and had become a huge star. This was one of her last performances and the first time the public really got to see her sing in English. She was working behind the scenes on her first english album that came out after she died.

Yeah the full concert is here on KZbin..she died 3 days after my 19th birthday..I hadn't heard her music until the Dreaming Of You album was released..
