The fact that people still don't know that 1. Selena's native language was English, she actually did not learn Spanish until she was very well known in Latin America, and she had to due to interviews and her fans. 2. She was a huge Donna Summer fan and she loved disco music hence why she did a disco medley 3. She is very beloved not only in the USA but worldwide. 4. She is the first bicultural icon from the Latino community in spite of the fact that she could not speak Spanish, we are not very accepting of that in Latin America but she was the exception, she was embraced and loved, but still, a third-generation USA citizen born and raised in Texas, so she has both cultural influences. Look for interviews of her in English, she had the cutest southern accent.

As a proud Houstonian, I want to share this for those who don’t know. This Concert was during The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which used to be held in the Astrodome before this great monument closed its doors for good. Now, it is held at Reliant Stadium. The Rodeo and Livestock Show is a 6 week event. Starts in Feb. and ends in Mar. Each night it features an Artist. It is huge to be booked for this event. For Selena, it meant she finally made it! Record seats sold out at 67,500. George Strait got his start on this stage (Amarillo by morning video). This was Feb. 25th. As a season ticket holder, I saw all the concerts and she was spectacular! She died on March 31st. Thanks.

Facts about Selena: She was killed 33 days after this concert footage. She was from Corpus Christi, Texas from Mexican American parents. She was 23 years old when she died. The singer Beyonce was from Selena's hometown too and Beyonce saw Selena once in person in their town Mall and knew who Selena was but was too shy to say hi to Selena. Both Mariah Carey and Madonna expressed deep sadness when they heard Selena had been killed. Selena recorded two English songs the month she died. That English album became number one in 20 countries after her death. RIP.

The guy dancing with SELENA is no other than Don Sheldon who was Selena Y Los Dinos backup singer. He passed away in 2014 of cancer. Rip to both.💝 SELENA was murdered shot in the back by her fan club and boutiques manager who was accused of stealing funds from both businesses. On the morning of March 31, 1995 SELENA agreed to meet with Yolanda Salivar to discuss the issue at hand and for YS to return business tax files SELENA needed for the business. As she turned to leave YS shot SELENA who fled from the Days Inn motel only to be pronounced dead a little while later at the hospital. YS is coming up for parole in a few years but whether she will be released is anyone's guess. My opinion she's safer and better off where she is bc of dedicated fans of SELENA who have sworn to harm her should she be released from prison. My guess though is she will probably die in prison at least I hope so. The guy playing the guitar is SELENA's husband Chris Perez whose also into music and has his own band now. He has dedicated some songs to SELENA, you guys should check them out sometime. He also has won a Grammy like his wife SELENA. Check out Chris's book 'To Selena With Love', in it he gives great detail into their life together. Anyway, thanks for a wonderful Reaction. 😍😘

Unfortunately, I learned more about Selena and her life after her death, from the movie. Yes, please watch the Selena movie. Also, yes, she was a natural performer. Josh from Texas listed Spanish songs, but I also suggest a couple English ones like "I Could Fall In Love" and "Dreaming of You".

Did you check out Chris's book 'To Selena With Love'. We know her from a business side of things, he was married to her. It's a beautiful book. I just wish the family had let Chris make the book into a tv miniseries like the fans wanted him to. Oh well, that's another story for another day. Anyway, the Quintinilla family got their own Selena tv miniseries coming up soon on Netflix. Can't wait.

The guy playing the red and white guitar is her husband Chris. The other guitar player they show alot of is her brother. She was killed by her fan club manager. She had stolen money from the fan club and Selena went to the motel to get records the lady would not let go of. Nobody is sure what happened but Selena ran from the room and the lady shot her in the back several times. Selena made it to the lobby of the motel and died on the floor. Took several hours for the police to get the lady from her vehicle, where she had sequestered herself. just fyi

she was shot once, in the back, after she turned to leave the hotel room, where she had been arguing with the woman who killed her.

I just finished watching this reaction and literally could not hold back my tears 😭 I got chills when she sang On The Radio. Im practically shook because I didn’t think I could feel so much after so long of her passing. She is so special in our hearts ♥️ Every time I say I will not cry and remember her with a smile because that’s what she would want. I have just learned that I can cry and smile at the same time 😢😭 Thank you for this reaction video!!! SELENA FOREVER!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Corpus Christi Texas! The queen of Tejano music. Another good suggestion is a song called Duele by Elida Y Avante. Another texas Latina legend
