Selena performed at my home town at a county fair .There was much controversy because she did not want to charge her young fans and her father did. Selena won all youth were able to attend her concert free of charge. She did so much for the kids of Texas. Specially the under privileged. RIP Queen of Tejano music La Reyna!

I was there it was SOO magical!! I may have been young but it was SO beautiful and like I said magical! Even at such a young age it felt like it was the last time I was gonna see something this magical. She was so beautiful and happy the whole time!!! She smiled at everyone it felt like she had your attention. The feeling in the crowd was like electrifying you could feel it pulse through you. It was a beautiful night!! It's funny how Brain mentioned Selena's signature tornado spins. Selena's spins were smooth and controlled. I always thought Lopez's spins were a bit rough and when she comes to a stop, it looks as if she's about to lose her balance. Not to mention I can sing beautifully and have a body shape just like her! They used to say in high school, "anything for Selenas!!" All the time lol 😂❤️🇨🇱🇨🇱! I used to sing for my high school's Cinco de Mayo shows!! (Always Selena songs lol) anyhow, I'm blessed to have at least witnessed her glow and sparkle as a 5year old before she was killed. She died 3 weeks after this concert. The beginning when she’s waving “hi” and in the end when she’s saying goodbye very haunting because I feel like it was goodbye to the fans around the world. But non of us knew or imagined she would be murdered by a fan who became her fan club manager then friend then boutiques and salon manager whom I believe was in love with Selena . She knew that will never have gone anywhere because Selena was married already and most of all Selena was not gay or bisexual. So when Selena fires her and said she doesn’t want anything to do with her and took off the friendship ring that she had gotten Selena as a gift but with Selena’s business card card. She straight up shot her . It’s like if I can’t have you then no can.

If you want full taste of what Selena was about, I definitely recommend her Cumbia Medley! It’s a live medley of 4 of her Spanish hits, and the video the user “Miguel Kraul” put together clips of a ton of her live performances to match it and you get a true essence of who Selena as an entertainer was! I remember watching her being held at gunpoint on Live News when I 11 years old. She was the first Mexican representation for our community. Mario Lopez acted on Save by The Bell by was 'Italian'. It was a life changing moment in Mexican-American history. When the movie of her life was made and in theaters-- we went as a family, the first and only time my parents took us to watch a movie as a family.
