Tip for any homeowners, always take pictures of parts you need when you go to any hardware stores. Even if the employees can’t help you, there’s always contractors shopping and they’re most times willing to help too. And look out for the workshops that they have at Home Depot and Lowe’s, my Mom went to one to learn how to install floor tiles in her bathrooms and my sister learned how to build a planter box in her yard. I was so happy to see another video when I came home from work, thanks again Selena! ❤

Good tip!! I did take photos and also sent photos to my cousins husband (who connected the water line) but even he wasn’t sure which, and the Home Depot guy wasn’t sure from the picture either and it was 8:30 at night so there was no one just chillin in the screws aisle lol I will def have to check out the workshops that’s so cool!! 🫶🏽🫶🏽

Congratulations!! I’m also a new homeowner and my advice is things are going to come up but remember it’s all worth it because it is your space and your property you now own! And also I have so many big projects I want to do that I sometimes forget how big a difference little changes can make in making it really feel like home. Even something as small as hanging up photos/artwork can go along way while you’re waiting on the bigger projects 😊

I bought my first house around the same time as you and my inspector walked through the home with me. She made sure my refrigerator isn’t on the same line as the other outlets so that the refrigerator isn’t immediately affected. Might be something to look into for your home.

I really recommend the purple mattress for whenever you go to buy one! I got the second cheapest one (purple plus) and it's the best mattress of my life. I'm a hot sleeper who previously DIED on sweaty/hot memory foam. I thought it was a gimmick/overpriced, but honestly I have no regrets so far (only 4 months in). I'm pretty sure you could have an affiliate link with them too, although idk.

Love your house journey- sometimes the fridge overloads the circut just because it’s getting cooled off initially and requires a lot more energy to start up than to maintain. Hope this helps! Keep us posted love u

I love this series! If you want to protect your floors from the barstools scraping, you might want to get the Scotch Beige Round Felt Pads to put underneath each leg so it glides smooth against the floor. I think they're like $3 a pack 😃

I did!! But these were all tripping to one of the outlets and the order of the outlets were installed wrong. The electrician came and solved the issue for free, haven't had any issues since :)

Hi! Is your cutting board plastic? I’ve heard that they aren’t as good as wood or glass bc when cutting on the board, the plastic can disintegrate into microplastics and get into your food. Also plastic doesn't have “self healing” properties so over time, cutting boards become too scarred to sanitize properly

I did have a home inspection and it’s normal to not know what’s happening and have a meltdown here and there as a first time homeowner! Luckily it was an easy fix as you’ll see in an upcoming vlog 🤪closing went well, if you saw the vlog!

It was a simple fix! I was def worried but the electrician from the remodel came, the order of the outlets were simply installed incorrectly, so they changed the order and voila!! All fixed :)
