Hi sir, one doubt we saw two inbuild class like point and select . While using select class you created object but for point u directly used it with help of return type why it so, is there any specific reason??

It’s the way those classes have been designed. Each class can hold a data type. Select class can store its type of object, so we are creating it. Point class can store x, y coordinates.

Hi Bro . I have a small doubt in the line "Webelement alertbox = driver.findelement ...." here alertbox is an object or variable ? if it is an object , are you trying to store the value there ? Also if its a how object is created for interface webelement? Please tell me I am bit confused here

If we create an object, we need a container to store that object. That container is variable. Once we store an object in that variable, we are calling it as object. A variable can store anything. Second thing, we can't create objects for interface. Only for concrete classes we can create objects. Consider Webelement as just a data type. Like integer, string.

Hi Professor, i have one more doubt in this tutorial. While processing prompt box we are using sendkeys. Here given "Ducklings" should be apend after the TestLeaf which is already exist in that box this is what you had informed in earlier class. Please help to clarify on this professor. I might be wrong due to understanding issue because of learning programming language as very first time.

the prompt button textbox is autoselect the word "TestLeaf", so we send any values to the textbox it clear the text and get the entered one. Try the prompt button manually you get what I say

Mostly an alert will not have multiplie text boxes as that's a bad design. Even if it has, you can use robot class and use tab key press event

Usually we ll find the element by using any parameter and then we ll use sendkeys. At line 43, it is different. Directly we use sendkeys. How exactly it finds the text box here to type ducking here?

For alerts, can't inspect and find the elements. We are moving the control to alert by switching to it. So automatically the control will be on the text box. That's why the sendkeys is working.

In the alert box duckling is actually not typed in. Finally in driver page only we are seeing duckling word. In text box examples when we use send keys, the word will be typed in the box. But here we don't see it. Why is it so?

We would have used thread. Sleep method, so that it happened in a slow pace where we could see. Here may be we wouldn't have used sleep method. So its happening that fast, where naked eye couldn't witness it.

A normal edit box(text) is very different from the alert. Only for the text box the sendkeys will behave like that. It's not because of the property of sendkeys, but because of the text box and alert.

Post completion of all the playlist, you will have around 4 years of automation experience. side by side, attend interviews as well. make sure your do regular handson. within three months, I assure, that you will be in a better position, both technically and confidence wise. :)

In this video, I have worked with the same alerts but with katalon studio. If you watch for the propmt box, you can't see the text being entered in the alert.
