What could you do to improve your own self-awareness?

I am not sure how I found your channel. I am kind of a hermit. But I do believe the Lord led me here. I thought I was beginning to lose my faith but I think He's showing me the Way back.

Best to be open, push and pull dynamic... Other centered but not always good. But rarely people empathetic to wards me, as l listen to people too much You must set boundaries, and protect your mental health.

These dichotomies were sooo helpful bc they are not assigned negative or positive value like in so many other videos thank you for this!!!

I enjoy hearing others if they are not just speaking about themselves and have a relevant point or interesting subject matter. I judge people by their fruits and if I hear the word "I" "I" "I" I go the other direction. This also goes for the work place. If I'm in someone's office and numerous pieces of their office is framed in pictures or documents about them only and their achievements, I run the other way!!!!!!

I just found your channel today because I have a big presentation coming up. I just want to thank you for what you do, you are a huge help! One thing that makes this channel special compared to other channels like this is that, you share your stories to help us relate and understand your idea. And btw I subbed :)

Relational dialectics theory is very eye-opening, very self revealing 👍

Agreed, Ben. I have a video on the list that'll look into that theory more specifically. Thanks for your continual encouragement. I appreciate it, man.

1. Independence 2. Stable 3. Closed/ Neither self centered or other centered. I don't want to be the focus of attention nor do I want to focus on others./ I have no priorities, all things seem to have the same level of value to me./ My issues: Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Loneliness, Anhedonia, Imposter Syndrome. Why did you have up record this if it was not leading to something actionable?

How can one be more self-aware, so that they can be more supportive, in a relationship where my SO deals with chronic pain?
@alexanderlyon4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. That's a really specific situation. I don't know if approaching it from the standpoint of self-awareness is the natural starting point. It might be better to start with concepts like empathy and compassion.
