Another vanilla option to challenge yourself: *self-building frost walker ice bridge* This has been done using zero-ticked waterlogged blocks and armor stands. Also, it doesn't melt when given a roof or in the End, making it practical and beneficial. I hope you find it a fun challenge to try from scratch! (And maybe we see it on Hermitcraft someday.)

I've actually thought of using armor stands with frost walker in a flying machine to create a bridge across a body of water and I'm thinking of implementing it in a big escape room minigame I'm making for this SMP I'm playing on but I've never thought of making a bridge using that mechanic :o

You can take it a step further by having a stone gen, cobble gen, basalt gen, ect. And have it be fed in a pattern so when you have the flying machine that decorates the bridge its also textured. Mixed stone and cobble floor, basalt guardrail type stuff.

It looks like it should be possible to stick a minecart on the block delivery flying machine. This could be really good for building the framework for large paths between things in the overworld, just prep the end zone and make sure there's nothing in the path (or just build so high there won't be anything) and you could build an enormous bridge fully afk

This should be used decorate the sides of the dolphin highway on Hermitcraft. A walkway could be added to the sides so it feels more like a complete structure. I’d be interested to see if this could be used to make wall / pillars as well. I think it’s generally impractical, but for long regular structures like bridges, tunnels, and walls it would be interesting to see how a redstone contraption could automate the work. Even if the machine is slow, going afk while the machine finishes portions of a build would be very helpful. You could even set up chunk loaders along the path to extend the range of the machine.

Silly Redstone idea: Automatic chicken farm with an automatic cow farm hidden under it. All chicken loot goes into lava, all the cow loot goes into the chest. (Also recommended to make cow loot go into chest exactly when chicken dies, maybe you can use a comparator on chicken hopper that unlocks a cow hopper)

this 100% feels more efficient at generalized bridge building than mining all the (uncertain amount of) stone and then 1 by 1 placing it down, you can feasibly fit this in 1 shulker and then just carry it around and pop it down anywhere and save time, could honestly even use it to build large flat surfaces, great invention mumbo!

Honestly I use your redstone tutorials and how to use redstone to building adventure worlds. I built something exactly like this and had the same design iteration process! I dug out a massive area with TNT dupers so that I could then use this bridge builder machine to cover the top of the entire area and build a town on top. The whole point was to build a hyper efficient spawner in the middle of the town. Its probably the most satisfying project I’ve worked on in minecraft.
