There's a common worry among PhD students about getting enough done, so they often try either working harder for longer or being more organised. Neither of these work unless we deal with a more fundamental issue first...
About me 0:00:30
The basic problem; wanting to get more done 0:02:29
The deeper problem; wanting a feeling of control or safety 0:04:06

Control over your research is an illusion 0:11:04
Self-control might be an illusion too... 0:14:28
