The quote "I don't totally know where I'm going, but that's never stopped me before" is my new life motto. I always feel stuck and stressed when my life isn't broken down into intricate plans and lists. But it's okay to calm down, take care of myself and let life happen! Thanks for the great video, Rowena :)

Also, could you do a video on how to speak more eloquently and in an articulate manner? I've been noticing my speech pattern lately and I seem to stumble over my words a lot and I tend to mumble. Your speech skills are quite good and speak very clearly with depth to the words you are saying. :)
@rowena6 жыл бұрын
hi Noel! reading in general and reading out loud when reading helps! I don't think I'm the most eloquent/articulate speaker (I mumble a lot, talk too fast, talk without moving my teeth-what some of you pointed out heh) but I'll definitely give this some thought ☺️💕

Hi Crystal! I saw your comment and wanted to tell you that I just released a video on 3 effective techniques to deal with depression. I hope the video is able to help!

Omg self care channel?? This is exactly what I need. I’m going into my second year teaching and I have the bad habit of throwing myself into work and focusing so much on my students needs I take less good care of myself. I genuinely love my job so during the school year I barely noticed how far I let myself go. Usually around November I start feeling the exhaustion and fatigue. Last year I had some SERIOUS brain fog in the Winter. My goal this year is to be way more intentional with my self care so that I can fully enjoy the job I’m so passionate about even more! I’ll definitely be keeping up with your videos! Side note: Moon Lovers Scarlett is my jam. I cried like a baby throughout 😂😂

ahh like you said in another comment, strength isn't easy but it lives within us all ❤️ I'd like to believe that the universe ultimately wants what's best for us, and that we'd rarely be thrown into situations we can't handle. it's like that Steve Job's quote of only being able to connect the dots and having our path make sense looking backward.. our lives may be a giant question mark right now, but if we push through and persevere with a smile, it'll all make sense in the near future :) all this to say, your honesty and strength despite adversities is inspiring Andrea 🙏 thank you for taking the time to share and for helping me keep everything in perspective. you got this!!

Here's my super sad truth and its sad. I might "know" and am "aware" this strength I speak of is real but have never seen it in ME. It makes me sad because those whom I hold close to my heart speak how my strength is inspiring to everyone I share it with! Then I share how I got it they cry and tell me how this can't be closed off. "Ur story and strength is what ur put here to do! Ur story has power!" I'd kill to see what they do

I totally agree about practicing gratitude. At first, I thought it was a bit hokey in that l.o.a. kind of way, and I even struggled in the beginning, but I do find it extremely beneficial in regards to stress, grounding and having a better outlook on life, because there really is much to be grateful for in our lives that we tend to take for granted or just don't notice. When I stop or forget, I eventually feel more pessimistic, depressed, or even a little physically off. And, yes, I even notice that things strangely do work out in that l.o.a kind of way, where things do start to improve even more and in an almost eerie and synchronistic fashion the more positive I become, and even when I don't intend for it. Pretty cool...
@rowena6 жыл бұрын
hi Meg! dude everything you said, can relate 100%. it took me a while to fully adopt it into my daily life since I operated on a "oh I'm generally positive and grateful" mentality for years. but to actually put it into practice daily has shown massive improvements in my mental state. :) and this. "there really is much to be grateful for in our lives that we tend to take for granted or just don't notice." absolutely. thank you for the reminder and thank you for being here 💕

Yay! I am in a funk, but I'm working on getting out of it. I got to a point where life just felt so... monotone. Like I had no energy to care about much. I am happy to report though, that I found something to give me a boost. On Monday I found out my theater would finally be showing that Mr. Rogers documentary. I almost never go to the theater, but I decided to say, "screw it. It's Mr. Rogers. I'm going." And I did and it was magical and I had tears streaming down my face 75% of the time. The point is, I guess my need was something to look forward to. Something different that would make me feel something. Now I feel better. Sorry, went off track I guess. Anyway, thanks for the virtual hug and wisdom Rowena :) I need it, so I'm going to rewatch now and take notes. Thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for always having the right words to explain things!! The width and the depth of learning are two perspectives that never crossed my mind that clearly before that video. I always tried to find the motivation behind my striving to learn, it's been these two ways all along. Thank you!

sending you so much love Samantha ❤️ loss is never an easy thing but it does get better and we can always find some sort of a silverlining if we try 😌 stay strong, keep your head up, it's ok to give yourself some time for yourself, and remember we're all in this together :)

Hey Rowena! I feel like every time I comment on your videos, I say, “this video came at the right time,” haha but that’s okay. I’m in the middle of a school/career re-direction and I’m in summer school. At the beginning of classes, one of my professor said, “If you want to get an A in this class, your whole life is this class.” I fully bought it: I deleted social media off my devices, only watched videos with content related to my classes, talked constantly about coursework. While it was nice to just go into the deep end and make new friends in my classes, I haven’t done much self-care and I really appreciate the reminders of consuming actively. I felt guilty of thinking of doing leisurely reading, watching fun KZbin videos and so on because I made myself think it wasn’t a good use of time, which of course is ridiculous. Anyways, thanks for this video! :)

baha it's ok! cause every video I make is a reflection of what I'm currently going through or was struggling with 😅 we share in the intenseness in focus, so I'm so glad you're able to remind yourself often to keep a healthy balance between self care and productivity! hope you have a beautiful weekend Patricia 💕

1. Go outside, roam freely, even a road trip to mountains/ocean/etc 2. Eat up lots of social media/reading/YT whatev but do it intentionally within the limits you plan, and watch with a critical eye, mindfully 3. Learn that thing, fitness/adventure/new skill/new ideas you've been needing 4.Read that book ie two titles by Adam J Kurz or Kurtz 5. Try new things including things you haven't done in a while 6. Turn stress into gratitude, in the moment
