How long does it take to get good at cutting your hair? I've cut my hair about 7 times in the span of 3-4 months and have gotttn a little better, but I still see a couple lines that are hard to erase mainly on my left side(since I'm right hand dominant). Any tips?
@11buttnaked3 жыл бұрын
I had to practice using both hands veeeeeery slowly! You may want to try fading down as well. Some folk are able to move faster this way & it doesn’t leave such harsh lines. You may want to invest in a good pair of affordable clippers like the Oster Fast Feeds & replace the metal cutting blade w/a ceramic blade off Amazon. That’s around $75 for one of the barber world’s most famous clippers! I would buy the 1/2 & the 1 1/2 guards as well. They serve as the “go between” guards for the smoothest blends..!!! Peace in Jesus name

@@deleon11794 I feel ya bro. The trick is to set guidelines using smaller spaces. KZbinBarberAcademy & SCraftBlendz have some reeeeally good tutorials I learned from. It is definitely easier to fade up for me, but I used to go too high up. So I tried fading down, & yeah it took some practice, but I got it working good now. I sometimes mix the 2 techniques together. I can set the guidelines w/ trimmer, open blade, 1 guard, the 2 guard...… then fade down to blend them together. Keep experimenting & you'll be teaching us something new bro! I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me! Peace in Jesus name bro
