Very very nice and useful as per jkd by Bruce Lee.

A feeling of distance which increases with practice becomes something intuitive and natural. When you see photos of Bruce Lee and read his stuff, a close distance is not an intelligent option (like trapping or grappling range in jkd concepts). Footwork as specially in a lateral and nontelegraphic way is the ultimate medium to hold distance and control it as well as the fight itself.

I find it funny that other self defense vids show stuff that actually don’t work or not that effective. Some show if the person is up close and they do a headbutt which would also cause damage to both people, not keeping a good distance and one where they claim that holding up your hands disarms and relaxes the aggressor.

Paul vanuk loves his headbutts that’s his go to along with sloppy movement

*I'm addicted to this channel hahaha. The way you explain things in such a simple way is really good for beginners. Thanks so much Thomas! Can you please do a video specific on footwork for different attack types? In slow motion please, to show the exact foot positioning when you attack in a certain way (ideally as you look at the camera so it can be clearly seen). I think it could be very helpful for many people.*

Hi Thomas. I've just discovered your channel, as well as jkd. Very well presented and easy to learn, thx. But one thing I want to suggest: please remove the background music. Or maybe ask your viewers, as I might be wrong?

The first step is to get used to maintain a proper distance in the social interaction, the second step is to avoid the anger, because the anger in a discussion makes that the people get closer, the third step is to use the distance as is suggested in Jeet kune do. Is important to take in count the cultural distance in the social interaction; the Jeet kune do distance is very natural for the Europeans, but is a problem to solve in the case of Latin American people.

Master .. Is it good to practice weight traing with martial arts..? What is your opinion..?

If a jkd guy would use the core /hip it’s better to use a elastic cord where you use the core and hip to train those muscles. This training is on this channel.

in this situation sometimes is not up to oneself. sure if the time is there to distance oneself then is possible. is also possible as you step back he steps forward ? standing behind a wall or jam between one enemy in front, one, two more behind you is something we have to deal with. at times, street fights doesn't let you get to comfortable - when it takes flight you got no plan b ? martial arts tools was created to deal with these kind of situations no matter how we are standing. HKD ideas.

There you go. Imagine I could put everything in one video. Don't ask questions if you don't even watch the videos, doesn't make sense. Also, subscribing to a channel but not watching the content hurts the channel. Many people don't know that.
