Seems very promising for cities with canals. Much more challenging to engineer something like this for rivers with a current. Probably impossible to use these at all in large bodies of water that have waves and tides.

Why replace bridge with something that is more expensive to maintain?
@Tang0Fox13 жыл бұрын
Now, now let's not let logic get in the way of big tech getting even more information about us and behaviours.
@evlnte3 жыл бұрын
A bridge can’t be moved say in an emergency evacuation situation where people need to cross a body of water where a bridge isn’t present. A bridge can’t collect trash. A bridge can’t transport people from variable locations. Geez, it almost like you didn’t watch the video!
@Tang0Fox13 жыл бұрын
@@evlnte That may be true but the fact is as infrastructure those boats would need to be able to supplement bridges not replace them. that makes more sense unless they are removing vehicles totally from cities.
@evlnte3 жыл бұрын
@@Tang0Fox1 Oh totally agree. Augment in most cases; not replace. Venice, Paris..all these historic cities are unique and beautiful because of their many bridges and waterways. I’m just saying that this technology is worth pursuing and can enhance living conditions when applied properly.

It do nit replace it can use as one for particular cases
@wellthi3 жыл бұрын
cool but for Amsterdam you should be able to bring your bike too

other use cases could be a pop-up coffeshop, pop-up Pub, pop-up food truck, or autonomous delivery

Inventing a "solution".. but there is no problem. It can be use for like Venice, but simple walking bridge is cheaper and easier to use and to maintain.

not really, if they get a lot of customers and hey create 20-30k/year then they can cut the production costs by a lot. Just like tesla

What a great idea ! Passengers and in the same time... Creating bridges... Crossing the Geneva lake in Europe (Léman lac) would be awesome as bridges or ferries for cars are forbidden...

Call upon the LORD JESUS today!!! ....there is no hope elsewhere. Today is the day of salvation. ONLY JESUS SAVES. 1Corinthians 15 1-4 is the gospel of salvation. Put your faith and trust in Him, NOT in man....satan is the god of this world for now....but....JESUS is coming. Make sure you know Him, and that He knows you!
